although i do like the closed as the .022 rolls off mainly the highs but leaves the mids and lows alone, so it's not as muddy sounding as your usual tone control. i did read that using a .1 cap gives you a wider range of tones throughout the sweep so i may look into swapping caps.

Schecter owners, What kind of Stiletto is this model?

On Ebay someone is claiming that this is Stiletto Extreme.

I thought that Stiletto Extreme have a maple top and Vector inlays???

Do you think this bass was being misrepresented on Ebay?
Or did older models looks like this?

Its a Stiletto Deluxe from 2009 (discontinued) not an Extreme

A bit of false representation (possibly accidental)

IIRC, the deluxes were dropped an replaced with the extremes. the main difference being transparent finishes with quilted maple veneers and the "vector" inlays. they both still have basswood bodies and 1-piece maple necks with the common "scarf-joint" headstocks found on jacksons.

Love this guy,but I wish it had the inlay markers on the fret board. No flash,,, just clean and suffocated looking. I just started looking for a new bass and was steering towards a Ibanez 5 string, but suddenly have been completely turn around. These Schecter's are beautiful. I can only hope they sound and play well.

Is there a Guitar Center anywhere near you? They always have lots of Schecters in stock to try out. And you can order one from them, take it home, demo it for up to 30 days and return for a refund if you don't like it.
