I don't believe in having money tied up in equipment that isn't being played. One 5 string, a backup 5 string (my yamaha that has sentimental value) a fretless, and my short scale are all I need.

I've got the 5-string Stiletto Custom with natural wood. Sure, it's not the best in the world, but I have the action low, and it's light. I love the look and it doesn't weigh down my aching back.
I'm sorry you've got to give up the bass, too. But I must say, I've got a real bad case of GAS... It's very tempting. But then, does someone really need 2 Schectors? OH!!!! I could pull the frets off one of them.

Well.... I could be wrong, but I've just used a good furniture dust cleaner that a furniture store recommended for our oak roll top desk. I think it's oil based. I'll see if I can find it again.

It seems to me that Schecter and EMG are not as popular on here as a lot of others, for whatever reason. I think some it is Schecter's "metal" image. The USA Schecters, and the diamond p and j, and model t basses are the more favored ones around here.
I too would think the pickup upgrade will help you here, as I haven't seen much love for the HZ's here.
Keep at it, it may take longer than you expect. Right now there aren't as many people buying, with the holidays coming up. Also, you don't have any feedback yet. Unfortunately, that may be hurting you a little too. If you have a good rating on Ebay be sure to mention/link that on your ad. GLWTS!

Just acquired this over the weekend. It's a 1997 S series '51 Bass. Never seen one before. It has "The Original California Custom" on the neck plate.
The 1997 catalog describes it as such:
