checked the old catalogs on schecter's site. it appears they were in production from at least '07-'08. i cant view the '09 catalog as for some reason it seems to link me back to the schecter home page. the stock wiring was 2 EMG35HZs with master volume(push-pull active/passive) blend control and two-band EQ.

i was looking too, i started a little too early i guess. the wiring is all changed, no more push/pull. active pre with active pups it seems. hotwired for separate vol/tone for bridge/neck pups.
it has a killer sound. roll off the neck pup and play close to the neck. soooo sweeeet lol

This is my Ultra VI. Fabulous to play and great construction.

More on the 004's - this is an early one-off (no serial #, no model name/number engraved on the truss rod cover, one of one) that was built for and presented to Geddy Lee in late '07/early '08 (IIRC), and later acquired by a now-former TB'er/Schecter Owner's member. I don't recall all the specifics of it, but the basic story (built for Geddy) was confirmed by Schecter. The case in the pic is the original as well.

That might explain the vaguely Rickenbacker-ish shape, being a Geddy prototype and all...

I want to say that they were already in early production when that one was built, but I'm rather foggy on some of the specifics of its existence in general...most all of my info on it came from the current owner in PM conversations (long since deleted, unfortunately) from around 2011 or so.

Generically, Schecter has not shied away from 'being influenced by other designs' (a polite way of saying that they gleefully pillage design ideas from other builders)...the Stilettos have always reminded me STRONGLY of certain Spector models; the Baron is obviously a Tele inspired shape (but everyone does that shape, along with the ubiquitous P and J bodies); both the Ultra and the new Sixx are T-birds; the 004's also shout-out to Music Man with the knob placement.
