Well, mine is a solo artist and also plays bass, besides other instruments, so I'm lucky there in that aspect, and she's bought me quite a few things as well. I do technically work for her, so the only stipulation is she has to like the gear I use as well, but we pretty much the same tastes, anyway.

Has anyone played one of these yet?......I currently have a Schecter HellRaiser Extreme but thinking about switching to the Schecter Dale Stewart....Thoughts or Opinions welcomed.............
I tried one of the early ones and tbh didn't really see/hear/stuff much difference between it and my Stiletto. I should probably disclose the fact that I'm not really a fan of all-black basses in general, and that may have had a part in my overall '...meh...' reaction.

Got my Schecter Dale Stewart Bass this past Friday............Plays and sounds great............
Honestly, the fit and finish of this bass is a bit of a step down from the Stiletto Elite series. I never had to adjust the neck or action even once on my Stiletto. Some of the fret ends were a bit sharp, the intonation was a bit off, and the neck needed a little adjustment, but I bought it used so I was kind of expecting it to need a setup.
I love the 3 band EQ and MM-style pickup, which to me is a step up from the EMG HZs. This thing can get a real aggressive tone. A lot of people seemed put off by the single pickup, which I don’t understand since the single humbucker is pretty standard in Stingrays as well. Overall, not easy to beat the build quality of Schecter’s higher end Stiletto and Studio models, but with a minor setup this bass plays and sounds great.

Speaking of humbuckers, does anyone know how the pick ups are wired on the Diamond J Bass? I have a feeling that in it's normal position, both pick ups are wired to be a single humbucker, and when you pull the knob they're in single coil mode. They call it "vintage tone" or something like that. The tone of it kind of reminds me of a Music Man, that's also why I'm thinking this. Is this the case?

I have to say that Model T was another top choice for me when I was looking at Schecters, but they were a lot more money than what I paid for my Diamond J bass. Who knows, maybe I might be able to still get one down the road, as if I don't have enough stuff already. 
This is my arsenal of Schecter axes minus the Hellraiser Extreme 4 since I sold it. Just not the style I like. I prefer the vintage and the cloverleaf tuners.

I'm kind of bummed that most of those are now discontinued, if not all of them. I suppose if I want another Diamond J, or get a Diamond P and/or a Model T bass down the road it would have to be used. Although, they still have some you can buy from them on their clearance page, and who knows if any shops will still have some in inventory? I've had GAS for those and they were my alternate choices when I got the Diamond J, but I got the Diamond J for a lot cheaper price. I like that Stargazer too, but that was discontinued by the time I got into playing Schecters, so I never came across one at the time.
Hey Mr. Mudd. As the proud owner of a Schecter Stiletto Studio 5, can I get a number too. I only had one bass a Fender Precision, for over 30 years. When I went looking for another I wanted a through neck, preferably a Richenbacher, till I saw the prices. After some research I found Schecter Stiletto Studio and for another $50 they threw in one more string. It's totally changed my playing. As for a Richenbacher maybe someday.
