Schecter Owners Club, part 3

I own an Omen Extreme 4 as well and love it. I'm looking to get a 2nd bass. I'm down to a Sterling Sub4 and a Schecter Diamond J. Two very different basses. Based on my experience with the Omen, I'm leaning towards the Diamond J. BTW, it's not the newer J Plus but the older model from 2013. Does anyone own one of these and would be willing to comment on it.

Chrome Dome, actually, you were correct. I am considering the Schecter J style bass. The one I was looking at is a black B-stock model on Reverb. The year wasn't mentioned in the add, but based on reviewing the old catalogs Schecter has on their website, it matched what I found in the 2013 edition. When I was looking for my first bass, I went into GC thinking I was getting the Sterling SUB. But after trying different ones out, I went home with the Omen. Which I have not regretted in the slightest, but I never really lost the GAS for the SUB either. The issue is a J-style bass also appeals to me. Finding a J-style Schecter was a nice suprise so now I'm GASing for that as well. I need some TUMs.

I pulled the trigger and the Schecter Dimond-J I was considering is now on its way to my house. The only bad part is that I need to wait until the 25th as my wife is getting it for me as a Christmas present. Though I guess that's also a pretty good thing too.

All the Schecter owner's must be hibernating,sure is quiet,or I am bored. Sure am impressed with the abalone/pearl inlay,and body binding,and bound neck,and head stock. Neck little on the thin side for me at the nut,but definitely enjoy the tone and sound,using the Fender Rumble 200.

Anyone have experience w/ the stealth model? I've been looking for a decent 5 string bass w/ a P/MM setup, and it seems schecter is one of the only options before reaching the custom market. I dig the matte black, though I'm a little conerned about the neck being as painted as well, and would probably want to strip it.

My buddy has a stealth model guitar. It a decent enough instrument, but it is definitely on the bargain side of the Schecter lineup. Too bad you are looking for a 5-er, I have a truly beautiful satin black Schecter blackjack ATX c-4 for sale right now...

Basically, i have to order it from US and i can't change my mind once ordered.

I want to know if anyone has tried it out or owns one. If you recommend me to buy the bass and if there are any cons about it.

i have an 004. i've played the stiletto studio and elite years ago briefly. i think there are a variety of stilettos over the years but when i was comparing 004 to stiletto there was only the custom, studio and elite.

i like the 004's brass nut and the string through feature. it is well built and bright and clear. the neck seems thicker front to back than the stilettos. nut width i think is the same at 1.496"
the stiletto studio and elite are neck through. the custom and 004 are bolt on.
the stilettos use emg pickups and the 004 use schecter pickups.

I own one, and I'm 100% pleased. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about it. It does have a typical P-Bass nut width 1 5/8" (42mm). So even though it has a lot of modern / upgraded parts, its foundation is still traditional. It does come with a "Push/Pull" Volume Knob sticker that reads... "Coil Tap". It doesn't Coil Tap, or Coil Split really. What it does is change The pickups to be ran in either series or parallel. Which gives you about 30% more output. If you're looking for a bass with this pickup configuration, it would be hard to beat for the money. The quality, fit, and finish was superb.
