one time at guitar center i told them my talkbass schecter club member number and got a discount.

So I just bought my first Schecter.... I was a long time Ibanez user with my SR525 being my main bass. Yes, SR525 not 505... very rare. But I wanted a new 4 string since I was joining a Death Metal band that was tuned to C Standard. I had tuned my main 5 up a 1/2 step and played it that way, but the stretch on the lowest notes hurt a bit and I never played the highest string... so I definitely wanted a 4 string.
So I wasn't interested in what Ibanez was currently offering. So I kept an open mind and tried a bunch of different brands out. One of the guitarist has a nice Schecter guitar so I though it would be cool to match him brand wise. I tried out the Stiletto Stealth and was pleasantly surprised. Not only did it look cool to look the part, felt great, priced well, it had a very punchy tone and I think will sound great on a lower tuning (gonna throw on some 50-115 Boomers tonight)to mix with 2 bludgeoning guitarist with heavy Mesa Recto tones... I tried another buddy's Stiletto Custom 4 and thought it was just as nice... now I'm thinking of selling off my Ibanezs to get myself the Stealth in a 5 too....

You won't be disappointed. I love my Stiletto Elite-5. I've been thinking about a stealth as my next bass.

Well just wanted to see if anyone has this bass yet? Thinking it will be my next Schecter. Love the model T style.

Cool and since when did Kalium strings make them long to fit string thru? I always thought there strings were to short for going thru body.I snagged this up about a month ago, it was being sold at about $449 new at Guitar Center, but I have no idea why!

All of their strings are long enough for my 35" thru body Riot
Up to .098 gauge, they will fit on any bass up to about 40" if I remember right. After that, above .100 gauge, you need to choose either their "Standard", "Medium", or "Long" depending on the scale if your instrument and if it is thru-body or not. I used a Medium which is about 37" but with a taper, and the taper takes up the thru-body distance. It's best to send an e-mail to Skip at Kalium or just call him and he can help, if you are not sure

You got a smoking deal. Just checked M.F., the Riot 5 string like yours is $669.00.
I really don't understand the price drop, and it was only for a few days. It wasn't even advertised online! It does have the world's tiniest ding near the input jack, but I don't think that warrants a price drop of over $200
The Stiletto-4 Session is available new for the usual $629, but I didn't check any used listings...
I saw that deal at the Syracuse Guitar Center too. Never advertised here. Maybe Schecter had a silent promotion with them. I've owned a couple 5'ers over the years and never play them, or I would have gotten one too.
