I bought the bass at dealer cost from a friend of mine who works in the industry, and I'm not sure it was factory new or if it was briefly owned by someone else before I got it. I've not dug too deep to see how many of these basses exist, but my searches tell me that this specific version of the Exotic (wood and pickups) aren't easy to find. The bass was one of the nicer Schecter basses I've owned, and had a beautiful round and smooth tone. I had too many basses lingering not being used, so it has found a new home now.
That pickup look like Seymour Duncan ASB six string P4 size. Pickup dimensional 4.660 or 4.650?

I'm not sure and can't measure since I sold the bass. =( Without a doubt, it was an oversized pickup to be used on a 4 string bass. I always thought it was odd, but it worked and sounded good.
I'll bet no one has a Schecter like mine:

Wow that's crazy, you're lucky to have your hands on such a rare piece. Bummer about the broken corner, that's probably why they didn't go into production.
I actually spoke to the guy who designed it and he can repair it, it's on my list of projects. What's shocking is just how much bite it has. Obviously it's bright due to lack of wood but the pups are mean and almost sound active. (Schaller made the pickups for these). It's also a slap machine, which is not what you'd expect from a bass like this.
Greetings to all. Just wanted to check in with a new to me Ultra. Serial number puts it at 2012. Loving it so far. Put on some new strings. Sounds great. Any pointers or tips for a new owner? The bridge seems easy enough to adjust. Pics later.
A new Ultra VI? Awesome!!! I have a Fender VI but my buddy just picked up a Schecter Hellcat VI and it is awesome fun to play. Congrats on your new toy. Can't wait to hear more as you play with it. And definitely pics!!!
If anyone looking to buy a schecter diamond p plus have a mint condition one for sale on reverb. Got it and use at home a couple times and now just sits in a gig bag which will be included. 675 which i think is a good deal for a bass that is basically new.

I have the same model. Paid $799.00 with no case, or gig bag at all. Not a bad deal $700.

Just got me a new Schecter Michael Anthony signature a week ago to go along with my dUg Pinnick signature I purchased 6 months ago. For the $$, Schecter is producing amazing exceptional instruments. The thin nut/neck and Monster Tone Pickups make this unique, IMO. I already personalized my MA to my taste with a custom cream pearl pick-guard I fabracated yesterday. It's such a pleasure to play. Pictures stock and with new pick-guard.
Just got the Stage 5. My first 5 string. I guess the A string sustains longer. I wonder if it's because it's the only string that sits directly over a pole or I think the rest need intonation from the quick tuning I did. Otherwise the set up is real good. The finish on the back of the neck is fantastic. I don't know what kind of paint it is but Schecter has a hit with this stuff. It's similar to the neck paint on the Sam Bettley model I have but I like the Stage 5 finish better. Super smooth. I chose the Stage 5 over the Studio only because I have basses with active and passive EMGs and wanted something different with the Schecter Pups. I also prefer the ebony fingerboard and liked the idea of an active passive switch. I found out the hard way there's no EQ in passive mode, duh, but sounds amazingly well. It's real close to active set flat. These pups are some of the most versatile I've had. Pretty quiet too, dead quiet in passive. I intend on being frustrated practicing with a 5 string at first but hopefully it'll get better.

I own two Schecters:
One is an old Tom Anderson-era 4-string from the 1980s (I believe this model was called the Venus) that I've had for over 20 years
And the other is a more recent Stiletto Studio 8-string
