No Buffalo Bob,I didn't. I only had a chance to try a 1210 and 410-and I'm sure I would have had a harder time in choosing between the 410 and the 21012. We just finished a practice session with my 410 and it sounded fantastic :D -suddenly the guys in the band are wanting to hang around an play about an hour longer at practice....Hmmmm ;) ....Peace...DAcat.
Dang! I would have loved to have heard someone compare the two.

I need another cab for my gig in Buffalo, and I can't decide which to go with: Another 21012, a 1210 or a 410.

Glad you like the 410!! I'm sure it jams! :bassist:

If I had that choice, I'd get a 1210 just for portability and to handle smaller gigs/practices.

That said, I'd love to hear a 410 on top of a 21012... :bassist:

The 21012 goes a little deeper and the low end has that 12" thickness; where the 410 is just very tight, solid, & punchy as all heck!

Hello I'm from Spain (my english is not very well) I need some help because I'm going to change my actuals cabinets ( swr goliath III 4x10+swr son of bertha 1x15) for one schroeder cabinet. My head is: mesa boogie mpulse 600 (650 wtts into 4 ohms) and I need to know what model of schroeder cabinet is better for me:410 or 310212. I play in a rock band with 2 guitarrits that play so hard, but, out of my band, I like the slap tecnique for the bass. I need to know if my mesa boogie have few watss for this two schroeder cabinets or it's a good combination. Is a good change swr cabinets for one schroeder cabinet? Thank you so much, please advise me  (sorry for my english)

BuffaloBob-4343-are you serious-the 21012 must seriously rock too! Have you tried really turning that 21012 up with your amp? Are you still using the Yorkie 800-I tested my 410 with a Yorkie 800 and at about 2:00-3:00 Master and 12:00 gain it almost blew down the walls and people went running with thier ears covered-I mean, you could do serious ear damage at that volume for very long. To really push a 410 and a 21012 you'd need a very powerful head capable of 1200-1400 watts per channel(I presume that yours is a 4 ohm cab, or is it 8 ohm) running at either 4 or 2 ohms ...to play at the volumes I heard from my cab turned up ,I would assume there must be a huge PA system that you will be using and the sound man will probably want you in the mix. That could sve you some $...just a thought...Peace...DAcat

I think that you have enough power, which cabinet were you thinking about getting? I have a 1210 driven by 500w and it's not enough by itself for outdoor venues. It'll keep up with just about anything in an indoor rehearsal but gigs with larger spaces to fill is a different thing altogether. So, if you go with a single cab, I'd go with something with a bit more speaker surface area.

DCAT! ROTFL! :D I didn't mean it the way it sounded!

I live part time in Houston and my family band is up in Buffalo (cousin, two brothers) and so I meant that I might like to buy another Schroeder so I can leave it up there in Buffalo for when I come into town to gig with them. My Dad's got the big C so I'm trying to split time between Buffalo and Houston right now.

GOOD LORD NO! I didn't mean I was going to stack 2 large boxes! Crap I wouldn't want to kill anybody! LOL! I was thinking about getting a different one from my 21012 for Buffalo so I can have some diversity in my sound. I figure that it is highly unlikely that I would ever use two, so I thought it would be cool to have the 21012 and the 410 for different sounds.

You can tell lo-freq is a little on the crazy side! LOL! He was the one suggesting stacking those 2 large!!

Lo-freq, I agree, the wise choice would probably be to go with the 1210. The former 210/115 stack that I am, I can't seem to get my head around the fact that the 1210 or 1212 can really hold their own in most situations. So my BIG RIG mentality makes me lean toward the large box.

Seems like I remember someone having a pic of a 410 or 21012 with a 1210 under the cab and another 1210 on top of the large box -- that would cure all ills...I'm sure of it. :bassist:

Holy Crap dude! Talk about a tower of power!!

What are you driving all of those Schroes with and how DO you keep the walls standing up?? LOL!

BTW, Love your sig line! Reminds of another classic line from that movie:

There are two kind of people in the world my friend, those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Others on the forum would be able to give better info than I can but it seems as though replacing a 410 and 115 would be better covered by a 21012 than the 410.

On the other hand if you want to cause havok and destruction, definitely go for the 310212!

Actually, I ended up sending the 21012 back in favor of the 1212 and 1210. I figured one of these small cabs was more than enough for all of the gigs I play (which is not much lately :( ). But just incase, I thought I would keep two in the event I have big show  . I still want a Schro 410, but that's just because I'm greedy. :D

Zarby:
Schroeder cabinets are very efficient. While both the 410 and 310212 are rated for many more watts than your mesa provides, they do not require it.
Go to schroeders website...get Jorg's (the owner) email...ask him all your questions directly. He is very friendly and informative.
