hello everyone,
This is exactly what i was thinking
all I can say (and my bandmates too) is WOW!!!!!
I have been playing for almost 20 years and have owned
almost every brand and size under the universe,
I'm very picky when it comes to tone
I prefer to have a great tone over size anytime.
so understand that I was more worried about loosing my tone
than to save some pounds on a cabinet.
I was at the local hard rock cafe for a gig this past Saturday
it was a Harley Davidson bike week event
tipical stage (aprox. 30' x 20')
the guitar player came with his 4x12 Marshall and
the drummer with a Neil Peart setup (taking a lot of space)
I had barely space for my rig (1210 & GK 1001RBII)
well they looked at the rig and were like:
what's that?
honestly,
I was kind of worried
since everyone was with their best/bigger setups
and there I was with an almost insignificant setup.
I was like "oh sh*t" let's hope this works, lol!
well guess what, ;-)
I was amazed on how loud this cabinet was
even with the GTR player being VERY loud (as always)
he later told me that he could understand everything I was doing
we played some Rush as well
I could hang with the drummer and also
told me he could understand everything that I was doing.
If anyone is thinking of buying this cabinet
by all means GO AHEAD!!!!
this cabinet will do bigger gigs than you think
I'm gonna try to find some pictures of the gig
so you guys see what I mean
sorry for the big post
but I'm so happy with my new rig
that it's hard not to express how happy I am.
hope my experience will help anyone
that is thinking on buying this same cabinet
plus Jorg is a class act and very helpful.
I liked the cabinet so much that now
I'm the Schroeder distributor here in PR.
