Scott Devine’s awesome basses. He is a player certainly with the goods to get the most out of his basses.
I’m amazed he switched the neck on his Moollon out. A year ago it was his favourite bass. Before that he was raving about his Nate Mendell. Then he gave it away! Now it’s his F bass. I’m waiting for him to put that in a competition too! That man’s got gas!
Never was a huge fan of the looks of his Fender Custom Shop P bass relic job (and no, I'm not anti-relic), partly due to that awful tort guard. Now that he put the Moollon neck on, with that headstock? Ay-ay-ay. Double sin 
No, the man has a business plan. Given his high profile. He most likely gets a lot gear free or at cost. He shows it in his videos, then he gives them away in contests that increase his number of students.
I believe he got the Nate Mendel to show players coming up that you don’t need an expensive custom shop bass to play and sound good. That worked well for him at the time. A few hundred thousand YouTube followers later we can see that his current collection of well made and expensive instruments rule the roost.
What surprises me is that he values different styles of bass that have essentially the same muted, choked off tone. There must be a real feel difference. The fretted F bass could easily handle the job of all the others, minus the fretless. It’s cool though, I have a handful of Basses that overlap and I can’t imagine not having any of them.
Love those two F basses so much. 
I asked him about the neck swap...he prefers the Moolon neck on that bass because it’s a bit more Jazz like..the neck on his ‘59 is fat (as was mine) and he can move around better with the Moolon...the F Bass is amazing, as is the old Smith he got not too long ago, but man are they pricey..!

I'm pretty sure he has said multiple times that he pays for all his instruments. Sometimes he is lent stuff to try, but if he decides to keep them, he forks over the cash for them.
I heard the fender neck was warped so he put the Moollon neck on his Fender.
Not sure why he would do that to the Moollon considering how nice they are.
He never seems sticks to a bass for very long and also has a tendency to change amps every few years as well.

Few endorsers, although he is not really an endorser, get stuff totally free. I bet he gets stuff at cost or at a substantial discount.
I watched some of his video's and enjoyed them, but his video about the Fodera where he dropped the "G.D." bomb a few time turned me off. So I do not watch his video's anymore. You guys enjoy, I watch others now.

With access to so many basses he gets to pick what works for him best. The F-bass should rule the roost for a while. We shall see.

I've really enjoyed Scott's videos, but does it seem to anybody else like he's getting increasingly hyper in his delivery lately? It almost seems like somebody told him he needed to bounce off the walls more often and raise his speaking voice by an octave to get/hold people's attention. He seemed more low-key in the past.
