I've got a BX700 purchased new near the end of 16', and started having problems last year. I searched & read every thread/post on the problems associated with the BX series, and the immediate problem seemed to be a cheap 4-wire ribbon connector on the input jack. It would keep cutting out (kinda like the sound you hear when the battery in the bass fails) until I unplugged the cord from the bass, and quickly plug it back in - then it came back on for a few minutes till I had to do it again & again. After about 2 hours it would finally stay on. I took the top off, and pulled the connector off - the reseated it and that seemed to have fixed it. Fast forward to now, and it's started doing it again. I really liked this amp with the 3 EQ sections - can dial in the sound I like easily.
