Self-quarantine plans

Luckily for me it’s the usual work grind.
At least the pay checks keep coming in.
Luckily as well I live in a small town area so not the threat a lot of others have.
I’m a custodian at the school so with it being shut down there’s a lot of cleaning to do.
I’m hoping that the change this will make in the world makes it better over time.
People have a way of forgetting instead of remembering.

I retired last summer and have been home in the days since then. No big change for me, although it puts a damper on leaving the house to go shopping at Home Depot or wandering through the odd pawn shop looking for deals.

My practically non-existent practice habits haven't improved, although I'm trying to muster the focus to pick up a bass and get off my lazy patoot.

Either a bus stop, or how the hookers are dealing with social distancing. I hear prices are slashed to the bone...

Just curious: Where did you come across this picture?

It was posted on another topic about Corona virus, by a fellow TB person to show what was common in his country. I just added the funny comment.... couldn't help myself. Gotta have a good attitude during all this, so a joke line that gets a laugh helps. A good sense of humor is a necessity at this time, I'd think.

Thanks for the info.

I did a little picture research - as you know, it was taken in my neck of the woods. I know the place well, as it’s outside the building I rehearse in. But the bus stop where people are waiting is not there any more - it was a temporary stop, which was removed years ago.

As near as I can figure, the pic was taken around 2016, so it was well in advance of the current crisis. It does raise some questions about us Norwegians, though...:)

Gotta take a dual screen (24" monitors) computer home for the duration. Gonna be a tight fit in my combination Bass / Fly Tying room. Might be tough to get a lot done work wise with other distractions in the room with me.

Your flies might be a prized commodity as we enter this next phase of "as the coronaworld turns".

Illinois is going on "shelter in place" starting tomorrow.

Leo help us all!

We start Sunday in NY. We should be seeing MAD MAX 2020 by noon on Tuesday.
Interestingly, liquor stores and breweries are deemed as essential businesses.

In the man cave playing with hats, selfie stick, fidget spinners, listening to Steely Dan. Man those songs still sound great, but mean something entirely different now. Should I put up the big monitor speakers again, hmmm. Tascam/JBL CM10 3 way speakers with a Crown amp, hmmm. 'Only A Fool Would Say That' is playing - what are you telling me with your ' Pretzel Logic' and where did you get those shoes, I seen them on the TeeVee...

I have a hard time with picks, finding the right size was key. I've found that using the larger size fits my smaller hands better

Now I have a bunch of picks I don't use

You should check out V-Picks. They have a variety of sizes and thicknesses. Since I gave them a try, I've found nothing else works for me. YMMV but they're really worth a try.

You can buy a sampler pack that will give you a sense of what will work for you.

I found that I really like the Big Fattie, any of the Freakishly Large picks and the 1980 with a Ghosted Rim.
