Self-quarantine plans

Living in a stinking big city...........how can I have any quarantine plans? Impossible.

My fantasy wish is to live out in the woods in some cabin, hunt, fish, forage and come out into public after a vaccine is created and get a shot.

I'm a writer, so self quarantine isn't really that much of a stretch, since I'm already home. But in addition to my writing, it's a perfect time to obviously, play my bass, I have a list of "Honey-do's" for my husband

I also am a writer, self-quarantined and practicing bass, and I, too, have a long list of "Honey-do's," but for the wife, who had better do them all properly, or else I am going to nag her into an early grave.

Remember the above IF things get back to a reasonable version of normal. 30 minutes of no-traffic windshield time to work and then again from work makes living 10 miles from anything much worth it. Look in the right places and affordability can be found. Good luck!

We lived in the countryside for a few years before the kids started going to school. The peace and quiet (and the starry skies) are something to consider again when the offspring start to leave the nest.. if the wife can handle all the mice that usually come with the package.

Years ago I “found” Guitar Pro as I was asked to play in a Zeppelin “type” tribute band, not trying to be the total package, ok but I still wanted to learn the bass parts somewhat “correct” ????
I have found about every song ya would want to learn on this site and it was like $39 for a lifetime
Membership.
So... in this time of being home bound for the most part I’m gonna learn some songs I might not ever need to play on stage but songs I grew up with and that is many years of growing up !
So, the site makes it easy and keep my mind working.

I use songsterr, $10 a month, and I was surprised to find a lot of Japanese metal/rock, which for me is perfect.

I've heard about that site. Ive grown accustomed to learning by everything by ear and then transcribing, however there have been some songs that the mix is crap or the bass is so buried that I have to check songsterr.

It's all tabs, which for me is fine, since I'm not looking to be in a band or anything... I just play for fun. The site says 500k songs... I've found some pretty obscure songs...

Not every day you find the tabs for a Maximum The Hormone song.

haha  I dont hate tabs like some people do, they are extremely useful at times, specially when its an obscure song like the one you mentioned.

Either a bus stop, or how the hookers are dealing with social distancing. I hear prices are slashed to the bone...

I have been self quarantined at my office. I think only "essential" personnel will be allowed to work. I guess to the house I go. Hopefully I will know tomorrow or Friday. The past 2 days has added a little bit of normalcy to the situation at hand. I was actually very productive since there was no one there to talk to. I guess I will have to find yard work to do until at least the 30th. I am sure I will take lots of breaks to play some groovy bass lines.

I've been collecting parts for the past year to build a new bass. Fender blacktop jazz bass body(double P-bass pups), warmoth slim profile jazz neck(maple fretboard), badass bridge, hipshot d-tuner,aguilar obp-3 preamp. Getting the neck ready for lacquer clear coat once that's done I can start assembly. Hope I can make it last 2 weeks
