Shell Pink-Maple or Rosewood neck?

I have got to agree with Hopkins. Tort will most likely be overkill.

Matching headstocks look funny anyway you slice em.

I will admit I've seen a handful that damn near changed my mind, but I haven't encountered the game changer just yet.

HOWEVER;

The OP clearly feels differently so, do what you wish, here's the cool thing, only you have to like it.

I think any combination you go with out of your choices is going to look great.

Shell Pink with White, Mint, Parchment, Pearloid guard all look great.

Shell pink looks good with maple or rosewood.

Shell pink does actually look funny with tort but after it grows on you there's something about it that just works, it's strange because it really doesn't seem like it should but it really does.

Look at Flea's 61 stack knob in shell pink with the tort guard. It looks good.
But it has the rosewood and does not have the matching headstock.

I think if I was gonna do it and go SP & Tort, it would absolutely have to be rosewood & natural headstock. And give it that 60's look.

I don't know how I could have worded it less offensively. I still think tort would look terrible on shell pink. I think it looks terrible on just about anything other than white or natural really. If someone else likes it, more power to them. Its not my bass.

I like the idea of a fretless shell pink bass with matching headstock, black hardware, and an ebony fingerboard.

Haven't decided whether I'd want a pick guard, much less what color I might find attractive.
