Moonshine: did you have to do any modifications to fit the MIJ reissue neck into the Dirnt neckpocket? Just for the cool looks, I wanted to swap out the necks one mine, however the CIJ reissue neck had different neckbolts from the MIM one's... So obviously I didn't want to mess up the basses as they are (and they are superb basses) so I chickened out. Figured the looks aren't worth messing them up!

I don't remember having to modify anything... The neck fit just fine. What did you mean by "different neck bolts"?

Do you have any hints or good tips on measuring the placement of the screw holes and fitting the bridge and pickup covers on a Squier Classic Vibe 50's P Bass?

The p'up cover tucks into the two cutouts in the pick guard - not much of an option there.

The bridge cover I find is installed making sure that no part of the cover itself makes contact with the bridge. It too is pretty self explanatory.

The bit about the cover not touching the bridge is nonsense IME. The bridge cover on my Squier CV 50's touches the bridge and there's no extra hum...

And there shouldn't be. If its touching the bridge, it's grounded.
