Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Everything is in! Gotta make a couple of cables today, but I'm officially *back* in the compact pedalboard club.
Went overboard when I was a bit bored at home, mellowed out and settled on a new, smaller board.

As a bonus, in moving from some boutique stuff to more common stuff on both my guitar board and my bass board, I made enough cash to pick up a PF500 + PF-115HE (gonna flip my old, smaller amp as well)

This version has fewer pedals and is more focused than previous editions. Broughton BBA is underneath and placed second after the tuner.

Weirdly I've had both 3Leaf pedals, a Randy's Revenge, and the Becos. Lovely stuff. The RR was gorgeous but not useful in my current gig and I havent really fallen in love with a compressor yet, but those are some great pedals.

Do you find your Dispatch Master running out of headroom ever?

So this will be my first time using this boss pedalboard that I picked up used for under 20 bucks. Looks clean enough.

I have the same - in fact I have two! One houses my most-used pedals - GEB-7 as a pre-amp and EQ for the pickup on my upright, tuner and I'm quite a fan of the 'drive' mode on the OC-3. The other box has my less-used pedals which can be daisy-chained when needed. I'm sure there are pedal options that perform better than Boss ones, but I like the regular look of everything matching!

Just a slight change for this one. I replaced the Maestro phaser clone with a Phase 90 clone. While I really love both varieties, the Phase 90 before dirt is the one phaser tone I want if I only have room for one phaser.

The Maestro circuits (MojoHand Mister-O and Hochstrasser Centrifuge) are excellent on their own but tend to muddy things up when placed before these dirt pedals.

The compressors are at front and rear of the chain, both set for light compression. Occasional use of the Accountant for the effects side it offers. I'm playing with the RR for ramping up and down the tremolo speed w/ an expression pedal, and the ring mod side for percussion effects.

I haven't had headroom issues with the Dispatch Master. It's a V2, and I think a special run for Chicago Music Exchange. But, I also try to keep the signal at or close to unity gain.

I'm making a few changes on my board after I stumbled on a new (and as yet, unreleased) pedal from Baltimore Sonic Research Institute (BSRI) called the "Singularity" and have just ordered the new (and as yet, only custom ordered) Carl Martin "Honey Comp."

I have cut loose my DG Photon and Basswitch Classic Boost. In so doing, I also opened up a bit of space for a basic (but sounds really good for the specific application) JHS 3 Hall Reverb and an XOTIC EP Booster.

IMHO the trade off when finished, will be breathtaking!

More to follow...have a good Memorial Day!

Been tinkering since more or less idk. Getting registered here has been part of the process. I don't play bass. I play like in toy. Some songs for fun, some noodling. I'm glad whenever i can carve out a few minutes. Would love to take lessons if i could find the time. Started with guitar. I don't play guitar. At least I do slightly better than i play the bass.

Finally I'm at the point where i've tested most of my boxes with bass. Only two missing that I'm not missing rn. One's a freakenbender and the other is a supposedly freaky alphawave. Guess I can sell quite a lot of stuff rn. Pretty pleased with the result of shrinking.

Whatever, i can call it a board. Ugly, still not finished, poopy cables cos of testing pedals.

Ibanez Jet King -> board -> Yamaha MSP5 (abusing me for the setup is ok).

Hyper luminal -> (Boss) channel mixer ->A: dual broadcast ->SLO
->B: uneffected signal

The Boss will be replaced by an Omnilooper from Schalltechnik04. A parallel looper kit with impedance-matching, hp, lp, bassboost and 3 fx-loops. Soon. For sure. :roflmao:

A mastotron would fit nicely into the bottom left corner. Looking at alphawave too.First a tuner. Clip on rn. Yes, my board has gained quite an edge on my skills.

edit: fixed typo

This sounds amazing...if SVT, Fuzzz and hpf clean low end trips your trigger...it's possible release will be around 7/15/22. BSRI has some other real nice pedals going on...check them out. I felt a need to go beyond DG...IYKWIM??

This lil darling I found with a YT with Pete Thorn playing some great guitar. Used it on the Bass on a loop, too. I could hear the potential right away...

Soren @ Carl Martin got back with me right away on the order. Things being as they are these days. I imagine if ya want the good stuff there may well be a wait...

I almost curled up in a fetal position and cried a few times putting this together. It took much more brain power to figure it all out than originally thought it would. I also posted it in the "Tetris" thread three times in the past few days exclaiming I was done, only to make another tweak. I now, however, exclaim I am done :) I really missed having a Phase 90 on there after selling the one I had, but I'm happier with the MXR 95 mini I just bought a few hours ago. My MXR Bass Preamp got bumped off. Over a three-set night of covers, each pedal will get used at least once.

The board is a Temple Audio Solo18 (18"X8.5")

All EB 3" cables except for one longer one underneath the board that goes from the Flashback to the output module on the side.

Radial I/O > Polytune (buffer on) > MXR Bass Envelope Filter > TCE Sub N Up Mini > Diamond Bass Compressor > TCE Mojomojo (love that thing, recent discovery) > EHX Bass Clone > TCE Spark Mini > MXR Phase 95 Mini > TCE Flashback II Mini > TCE Bonafide Buffer(under the board)

Clean as heck, what a great board. Tons of useful tones there!

Thanks! I'm really happy with all the choices I made. The Sub N Up was a good surprise. I previously had a EHX Pitchfork which I really liked but switched to the Sub N Up mainly for the small size. It is more subtle, but I prefer it. With the "up" at noon into the Mojomojo, it seems to tighten up the distortion and helps the heavier fuzzy tones cut through any mix. You don't even hear the octave up. It just makes a beautiful sounding overdrive even better to my ears.

Is anyone using a Keeley Fuzz Bender?

Used to have one. Bias control was cool, EQ wasn't too useful. Ultimately didn't do what I wanted in the stacks I was drawing up. As a standalone fuzz, it does its job. Imo, ymmv, etc.

Now that's a great combo. I agree about octave up into fuzz. I use the MXR Sub Machine and have the sub octave fully off (most of the time) and then crank the octave up on. It's awesome.

thanks! Just traded a pork and pickle for one. Will have to see how it works with my setup. Good to hear on the eq as it looks amazing on paper.
