Show me your compact pedalboard setup

I am about to start a super-compact pedalboard. One pedal--a tuner (Peterson Stroboscope). Still very much a beginner at this bass thing, so no effects yet, but would like to have a good tuner inline.

I am planning to mount it on a small wooden board for now since I am only playing at home don't want to mount it to the top of my Rumble 40. The question I have is the convention of which side of the velco goes where. As I scour the images here, it looks like the loop side (softer one) goes on the board, and the hook side (the scratchy one) goes on the pedal. Do I have that correct? I want to make sure I get that right so that I don't have a problem when I move to a proper pedal setup.

That's how I had placed the velcro on my pedals, I could be wrong in doing so, but it works for me.

Soft side on board, scratchy side on pedals.

It doesn't really matter that much as long as you are consistent. But as most lay two or more velcro strips along the entire width of the board, it makes sense to have the loop side facing up to avoid collecting hairs and dust, scratching things, snagging clothing etc.

...and again, and again, and again...

...and that's a shame. It was an incredible system. The most compact and pedalboard friendly, and what an amazing built-in tuner it featured! As soon as I found out I managed to grab a second bodyback before they went out of stock here.
I picked up a few batteries. They still seem readily available. I wish I could find a used transmitter online.

I hope Shure comes out with a new/improved version soon.

Thought maybe someone would like to see my pb work in progress…

Temple Audio didn’t offer my preferred size board, so I took my Duo 24 apart and cut it down, using a metal blade on my table saw. The 43” LED strip version, wraps around 3-1/2 sides. (I always Velcro the TA light controller to the inside front face…) It’s now a Duo 13…will fit in a Gator mixer bag. ;)

No more tiny board?
