Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Cheers,

Tell a bit about that SCIENCE Mother preamp?

It's a very accurate recreation of Science Amplification's Mother Amp in pedal form using FETs instead of Tubes. It's essentially a modified Hiwatt.

I'm using Channel A for edge of breakup & Channel B with slightly more gain for drive.

It does modern tones as well as vintage... It's super versatile & sounds amazing!

@javi_bassist I would say that if you're loving the sound, but want to possibly remove a pedal, the tuner could be swapped for a clip-on. I did something similar with my board, which had overhanging pedals, and went for a TC PolyClip. It's been 3-4 months now, and I'm quite happy with how it's turned out. If I need to mute my signal, I can do so at my bass, and still tune silently, so functionally nothing has changed all that much.

And now all the pedals fit properly on the board, and thus properly in its case :)

Cool board!

Yes, I am thinking about removing the Polytune and use a clip on tuner. I have a couple of TC Unitune tuners. And I can mute with the Ashdown (one of the footswitches is a mute switch).

Mono Lite+ Bigfoot Edition
I owned a Khan DI in the past but sold it because its footprint and I/O layout isn't compact pedalboard friendly.

I wanted to see if it was possible to mount the Khan underneath a compact pedalboard. I've raised the heights of Pedaltrain and D'Addario pedalboards in the past by changing the feet out, but the Mono Lite and Lite+ pedalboards that I use have proprietary feet. AFAIK there's no replacement feet commercially available.

I have a pretty decent 3D printer, so I thought thought I'd try just printing my own feet. The Mono feet are friction mounted and removable, so it was pretty easy to take measurements and scale them up.

It was a bit of a balancing act getting the correct height for the feet. I needed clearance for the Kahn with Dual Lock, but I also need to make sure the board still fit in a Mono Tick (Mono Lite) or Studio Slips (Mono Lite+) bag. I cut it pretty close as you can tell in the pics.

Many thanks to @Erithon for helping with precise Khan measurements so I could prototype before I actually purchased a 2nd Khan. The measurements on the website are from an older version and incorrect.

MBD out, Fifth Gear and OC-2 in.

For my cover band, I pretty much just need compression, overdrive, and the preamp. I'll use the filter here and there and the octave if I have it.

For my triphop duo with my wife, the OC-2 is always on. It's so much fun.

The MBD is great but too much for my needs. This is my second Fifth Gear, and while it's a little lighter in the lows than the MBD, it's just a better fit for me right now. I like how it can also do double duty as fuzz with the heat knob up.
