Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Final update/spam for a while I hope. Only thing that hasn't changed is my mini board.

RB Quad 4.1 stripped and set up as a bigger board integrating the HXS in. Digbeth I have had for a while now in play with the LA-1A. LA-1A and the MS60B/LS-2 in the FX loop of the Digbeth. DC7 getting a full workout powering this set up. If you want a CAPO but can't justify it, the Digbeth is a really good option. The tube like break up on the attack of the note is awesome when set right

Resurrected my home made PT Jr sized board. My Aguilar/analog board now powered by a Cioks 4 with a 19V DC 3A laptop style power supply strapped underneath. Works great, super quiet. All the Ag pedals powered from one outlet, the boss from another. THDI on its own power outlet. One loop spare to power a wireless. This board can be powered by USB powerbank too! Boss NS-2 is for finger noise when using fuzz for synth sounds, otherwise it's off.

RB Duo 2.1
A CAPO came up local so I grabbed it. Awesome sounding Pre. Wampler EGO76 is in the FX loop of the HXS so I can put it where I want in the effects order. HXS is in the Pre loop of the CAPO. Made a little brkt for my Loopi pedal which are pedals 4 & 5 for the HXS. Can be used with larger board also. It just vecros in place and uses a foot of the board to locate it.

There is a calming effect looking at those.

Well done, sir!

impeccable as always - what make is the cable connecting Chorusaurus and TLC, I like that design?

Got a gig tomorrow, the first in a very long time. It's a trio gig, so I've got some space to fill when the guitar player solos. I've been working on this board for a while. Went through so many options and setups. Did two small boards, did one big two layer board, went minimal, went maximal. And eventually ended up with the above.

Painfully cut a PLL and a bit crusher. Originally had the Analog Alien Bass Station but it didn't cooperate well with the Proton, so it had to go. Went with the BB over the Pork & Pickle, and the DD-7 (with Saturnworks tap tempo) over the Strymon Dig. No always on dirt via preamp, just using the Messenger for everything it's capable of. Plus the onboard EQ of the Stingray Special 5HH.

Pedals I wish could fit in this setup:
Malekko Scrutator
Zvex Mastotron
EHX Freeze

Maybe if move the Messenger off the board one could fit. Maaaaaaaaybe.

I've been rocking this little DIY setup for a bit. I threw it together out of scrap wood pieces that were hanging around in our shop. It's actually a 3rd car garage space that we put tools in; power and otherwise. Just got around to taking pics...
Added an input jack that I ordered a while back when I was converting a bass from active to passive. I ended up just using the existing jack on the bass so into the junk box the jack that I ordered went...

The USB-C jack in the middle of the front isn't as necessary as it once was. I had a Zoom MS 70 CDR on this board at one point. Where that MS70 was on the board had the USB jack pretty buried. Im using it with the Zoom B2 Four now because my OCD won't let me leave a jack non-functioning or (gasp) even worse a hole if I were to remove the USB jack...

The feet on it fold nicely to make a neat package (It's about 11" x 11", for sure no bigger) that fits nicely in this bag:
ProCase Tactical Gun Range Bag, Deluxe Pistol Shooting Range Duffle Bag Large Handguns Magazine Ammo Gear Accessories Pouch for Hunting Shooting Range Sport -Black
There are tons of pockets and spaces for stuff you might need. Partial list of stuff I carry; lead, plus a spare, leatherman multi tool, zip ties, spare pedalboard wires, spare patch cables, an assortment of adapters and cables for phone/other things. A onespot, a few guitar picks. Ams sure I'm neglecitng something, but that's the gist...

Signal path is INPUT JACK - THUMPINATOR - KEELEY BASSIST - ZOOM B2 FOUR - GENZLER MAGELLAN.

This setup does it all for me and then some...

Just got the SGT. Lovely present from my wife this Christmas. Took me 30 seconds to dial the sound I’m after. The preamp is surprisingly good and really low noise floor. Comp is meh/okay-ish but I loooove the B15 voice! The build quality and feel is really good. Even the stacked and side knobs feels premium.

Neptunium, DCX and Cali in the sideline for now.

I redid my home board again this morning, incorporating my Christmas present to myself courtesy of @Sushi Box FX :

Signal chain is TU-3->LA-2A->MXR Octave->Big Muff->Blumes->Chorus->Flanger->SGT (eq, amp and cab sim)->finally. It’s on a Temple 24 and powered by a Cioks DC-7.

I think this is it for a while, though I’ve been GASing for a UA Max to put in the place of the LA-2A, which would give me compression + UA610 preamp.

I moved my Hagerman Valve to my work board where it works very well with a Line6 Pod Express Bass.

I'm curious about the Hagerman Valve. If a person didn't need an XLR out, and wanted a small pedal to give that sweet tube sound, is the Hagerman the answer? How close is the Hagerman to the Finally when it comes to the tone/sound/tube ?

I haven’t had the finally long enough to really put it through its paces, but the valve is amazing. It can do everything from clean harmonic juiciness all the way up to crunchy high gain tones and everything in between. I ended up buying the finally because I want the DI, otherwise I would’ve been perfectly content with the valve. Having the finally on this board, also means that I get to play through the valve on my other board, which makes a very happy. Lastly I love that it’s handmade by an engineer who really loves what he’s doing and strives for the best gear possible (same with SushiBox).

And to be clear, I am not affiliated with either company, I’m just a very happy customer of both.

Looks great and I trust you are loving your Sushi Box.

How about the Blumes, do you love it? What do you using for, boost, distortion, etc? Had my eye on that great pedal for a while.

I use the Blumes for distortion. I like it but don’t love it, TBH. I play passive fender basses and I find that in position 1 it has basically no headroom, so even with the gain turned all the way down I get fuzz (for which I already have the Bug Muff). I currently have it on the third mode (mode selector all the way to the right) and with the tone pretty low, I get closer to what I’m looking for. It still moves into fuzz way more readily than I would prefer.

Was thinking about trying a Bass Soul Food in its place.

Perfect. Thanks for the info. Might need to put the Hagerman on my short list!

I have some cheap 1x2 and a rattle can of flat black.

As opposed to pulling out every pedal and playing Tetris, what approx dims should I aim for?

Thinking 4-5 small pedals max. Mix of boss, ehx retro and modern stuff. 10” too narrow?

Board for tonight’s show. First time using the DCX and Genzler live. I was not so convinced for the last couple of rehearsals so I don’t know what to expect. They sound great at home, but at high volumes they kinda get blurred out? Let’s hear it tonight.

Just finished aseem bling a pretty compact board with “leftover” pedals which are pedals that are not on the main board, but I’m unwilling to get rid of lol. Really digging the combination of the compressor, preamp, and Lowrider. Thick and articulate with just a little bit of hair!
