Show me your compact pedalboard setup

IMG_5775.jpeg

Minor change in the line up. Red Muck fuzz out and CE-2w in. The CAPO is now doing all the heavy lifting for my grit. It’s the only time I’ve had no external dirt on a board. Though if I want to get nasty, I’ve also been enlisted to use a Bass Station 2 for those distorted drones on some songs now.

So I think this will be my final version of this board unless I scrape up and save some money to add a compressor again or even an expression pedal in front at some point. I used to have the Cali76 but sold it and replaced it with the mini Peterson tuner just for the practicality aspect of it all. I really enjoy the simplicity of this board and have pretty much everything I need or even want in the HX Stomp at this point.

How are you liking the EF-P5? Are those your settings?
It’s great, definitely the best sound I’ve gotten out of a compressor, but even with the compression off it adds a thickness to the sound that is really nice. Those aren’t, this was after I had flipped the board over and got the underside all setup lol.

Usually I aim for about 3-5db of gain reduction with slowish (for an 1176) attack and quicker release, so around 11 and 2 respectively, still messing around with the mix knob but for light compression I’ve found I really don’t need it. I add dirt/saturation to taste with the input gain so that’s always changing depending on the group I’m with

Pretty close to mine, except I mix in some dry. My ratio for the barrom band I play with is usually 8:1, whereas I use 12:1 in an effect-heavy improv duo with my wife on drums.
