The battery bank I use is too thick for my Nano and I liked the shape, size, bag, and price. Its build quality is really solid too. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a smaller board on a budget. That little Volhalo board is the business. I use that 14” guy as well. Glad to see it working well for someone else.
I hope it's not just a one night stand. I mean I brought mine with me the 1st time in ages that we're working on new material. So, we dropped unreleased stuff a half step down. Man, it delivered in Drop C. I was impressed. It is actually the 1st time I feel the blend actually solving all of my trio related problems. I mean, I know what a blend does, but doing that plus having the option to boost the lows it's what sold me. It's the 1st time I play with a Muff style pedal that I don't feel any lack whatsoever when the singer goes for a solo. I don't feel like we should have a hired gun anymore. On the contrary I feel I'm fully capable of keeping the band together all by myself. It's a feeling I was not used to when playing with dirts.Mine should be delivered today! Please keep us posted on your experience with it.
Ive only been able to play with it for a few minutes before having to leave for work, but i really liked what I heard. I haven't had an opportunity to use it with any of my other pedals, but I should have little time tomorrow morning.I hope it's not just a one night stand. How do you use the Empress vs the Messenger EQ and filters? Here's my latest board.

I'd say it's my final board, but we all know how long that will last. Besides, I'd like to try that new Fender tuner, and maybe upgrade the power supply on this to a Cioks. It's currently a Pedal Power x4.
Why two EQs? (messenger and paraeq)Here's my latest board.
The Cali76 Compact Bass could take up to 18v but the newer Cali76 Bass Compressor can't take any higher than 9v.I use the Messenger to set "my" sound and to adjust for the specific bass and amp I'm using, and I use the Empress to adjust for room issues. The Messenger also has the HPF. Magic sauce. I suppose there's some overlap between them as well.
I also ended up ordering a Cioks Sol power supply to power this board. It should be here tomorrow. That will let me increase the voltage to the Messenger and Cali for optimum performance.
Pretty much all the best pedals available today on one single board. Here's my latest board.

After some testing
Back to ToneX One over the Nano

Upon reading the owner's manual, it appears you are correct. Thanks! I might have done some damage otherwise. On the other hand, it does appear that the current power supply may be struggling to keep up with the demands of these pedals. The Cali wants 200 mA of current which may be putting the Pedal Power X4 over its limit. The Empress wants 300 mA.The Cali76 Compact Bass could take up to 18v but the newer Cali76 Bass Compressor can't take any higher than 9v.
It's too nice of a pedal to fry! I have a SOL and love it- I'm sure you will too. Has no problem keeping up at all.Upon reading the owner's manual, it appears you are correct. Thanks! This seems counter intuitive to me.I use the Messenger to set "my" sound and to adjust for the specific bass and amp I'm using, and I use the Empress to adjust for room issues. The Messenger also has the HPF. Magic sauce. I suppose there's some overlap between them as well.
....
Me tooThis seems counter intuitive to me.
In that case I would put the Empress AFTER the Messenger's DI.
Interesting. So you would send signal to the FOH that has not been adjusted for the room. To each their own I suppose. You must place a lot of trust in the sound person. This seems counter intuitive to me.
