The purple bits on the patch cables ... is there any functionality ... or is it just decoration ?

Just shrink tubing. Got them from doc’s basement on reverb: Doc's Basement

Played this setup last night and loved it. I think I may switch the order of the OFD and the Envelope... getting a slight volume drop when the Envelope is engaged.

Okay, I might as well post this here and document it as this is how my board has been since I put it together.

Korg tuner -> [sfx] preamp (mainly for the buffering effect it provides...3.3 mega-ohms...closest thing I've heard to an Avalon U5) -> [sfx] EQ (using as a mid-boost to bring out fingerstyle articulation)-> Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone (provides parallel compression and just a touch of dirt) -> Electronix Submarine (adds some wooliness to the sound and rounds it out)

I may start to experiment a bit as I'm in love with my Keeley 30ms and need to get it on the board. I might actually pull out my larger board and give the nano a rest.

I'm trying to figure out how to run multiple signals from my pedalboard and create a "master mix" from the pedalboard to go to my amp rig and FOH. I'm looking to have a clean signal from early in the chain and a dirty signal from further down the chain and mix the two. The question I'm trying to answer is how to go about it.

Lately I have been looking the Rolls MX41b (a passive 4 in, 1 out line level mixer) and then go out to a DI box. My other option would be to use a powered mixer such as the Rolls Invalid Link Removed that uses mic level input and output. Is the unpowered passive mixer a viable option, or not? Are there pitfalls of using that method that I am not seeing? If I go the Rolls MX310 route, then I'll need to integrate a pedalboard power supply which has a 12v option to push the mixer.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

So I'm less worried about how to split the lines. Will be doing that by putting a DI box inline after my tuner, then running the thru side of the DI box on to the remainder of my signal chain.

My main concern is how to maintain control of my own mix of the multiple signals and send only a single line out to FOH, as that's all I'm usually given access to in most venues.

I'll still look into the Boss and other blender pedals, as it might do the trick. However I was trying to look toward being more expandable with the possibility of mixing 3 signal lines.

In a nutshell I am trying to approximate a Geddy style rig based on a pedalboard and still be able to control my mix.
