I've owned a few P basses over the years, but never kept them for very long. This is the only that one that's been a keeper for me. It's a beat up 2001 MIM, that I bought for $350.00. There's just something really special about the way it plays and sounds.

It’s a Chinese imported neck made of dark roasted maple from EBay.

Very affordable but required a little work for the truss rod nut access, fret sprouts and leveling. Very good resonant, stable and rigid neck at the end though.
