I understand 100%, it is very hard to do anything else during my free time excepted playing my Deep !
I wondering about the hight C, do you have any comment ?
(I am sure it is good, but any description would be nice)
About the sound, I made one gig and a couples of rehersal.
First time was with a mark bass R500 and a 1*15 cabinet, from mark bass also.
For sure too much boom, but the 115 is boomy with all my basses (Sadowsky and Ken Smith)
The second time and since, I use the 4*10 and it is perfect.
Run the amp almost flat, and adjusting the balance with the bass eq.
(depending of where I play)
I have to try both 115 and the 104 together in the same time, I am sure the result would be very good. As the 115 is any more boomy with the 104, and would give a little more deep in the low freq.
But for a rehersal, moving two cabs is a lot of work...

I do.... that's why I haven't been on here much lately.
It plays easily, it is very light, the sound is superb. I'm still getting acquainted with her..... but oh what fun!
I play it through a Aguilar TH500 and I am still tweaking to find sounds.
The entire experience of working with Rob was superb. His craftsmanship is fantastic AND he is so very professional. I was impressed with every part of the process... and most especially with the great instrument I've been getting to know...
Wow, these basses are amazing. I love the sounds I've heard from them, and I'm an URB player with a serious bass. Especially the Deep 4/5s.
If anyone in Denver has one, I'd love to try it in person.

I'm actually going down tomorrow to talk with Rob about a 5-string E-C setup. I've gotten addicted to that setup recently.
If I was stranded on a desert island and allowed only one bass, for me it would be the Mouse. I play the others frequently, but there is just something about the Mouse. Now a 5-string Mouse (E-C) would be very interesting, but I'm holding back on new purchases for now....
This would be 33" scale. I recently got a Fodera Matt Garrison Std and I am in love with the overall spec. I think a Deep 5 with 33" scale strung E-C would be pretty killer.
I liked my Mouse a lot, but switching between scale lengths gave me fits. Others obviously don't have a problem...but I'm special

I remember you wondering ( a year ago) if I would have a problem switching from 30" to 35" scale. I can't say that it's been a problem for me, but I think the music you play is more involved than what I typically get involved in. I like the deep a lot and have a great affection for 5-string basses. But about 4 years ago I switched to four with the Mouse and then the Solid and I have to admit that I really like 4 strings. However, I am often asked to play a 5 stringer at church and recently bought a 5-string Lull P to address those requests.
Truth be told my Deep 5 doesn't get gigged these days as I've also been focused on 4-string for the past year or two as well. This new 5-string is E-C, and that is a totally different beast than B-G. So far I don't have much of a problem switching between 34" 4-string and 33" 5-string. But I could see me settling on 33" scale for everything except my YYD and flipping everything else. Except the Deep 5 - my wife won't let me sell that bass.
The latest 5-er - just needs some chambers and an f-hole

Yep, I got my Deep 5 used and then Rob worked it over to make it play right. It's hard to imagine letting it go. But I don't get that many opportunities to play it.
Congrats on your Fodera. I'll bet it sounds awesome! An E-C 33" Deep sounds like a great complement.
I just sold an MB-2, a lull, and several amps; I'm trying really hard not to gas for anything right now. You are not helping
Thanks for posting your recording. I listened to it through a good set of headphones. Very nice band and vocalist; and your bass line is right on. Sounds great, and displays very well what how nice the Mouse can sound. It's such a fine instrument. It can sound good with any style of music.
