Show your 4 string boutiques?

That's the one I had to sell to pay for the other Elrick I pictured a page back after my second job was suddenly taken away. I miss it :hmm: A thicker neck than many might like, but it felt wonderful to me.

This is a beauty and I want to see it better sooooo..........

1. go to photobucket.com
2. open a free account
3. browse and download pics from your computer
4. check mark the picture that is now on photobucket and scroll down and click "generate HTML and IMG code".
5. copy one of the codes (I use the "IMG images for message boards") and paste it into your talkbass message.
6. submit!

Hope this helps!

Chad

Thanks Chad;

Well, here goes. My Iceni Zoot hand made custom bass. The body is made up of Maccasa Ebony Top and Back, Black Walnut Core and Maple veneers. The Neck is a seven piece laminate of Walnut and Maple, again separated but this time with Ebony veneers. 25 fret Ebony 'board. Aero Pick-ups, Pope pre amp with 3 band eq running at 18v, Hipshot bridge (top loader or thru' body options), Hipshot tuners (with D tuner). Guess that's about it. Let's see if these load:

Wow! Never heard of this before, looks awesome! Can you give me some more info about Iceni (where from, history, etc)?
Thanks

Iceni Zoot are based in Essex, England. Mike Walsh is the luthier who builds the basses. Mike also runs a dedicated bass shop called the bass merchant, and his workshop is part of this facility, and I guess it is a similar set up to Sei basses in that respect.

His old web site is here when he was looking to create a series of basses with a team of people:

He only does custom orders now and you can order pretty much any option in the three basic shapes that he does. I believe he works alone on these.

Extremely high quality and you know you are getting something quite exclusive at not that high a price. My bass cost me 1865 GBP when I ordered it 18 months ago. Build time is around 6 months (although Mike typically quotes 3).

Sound and playability are excellent.

Words can't describe how much I admire Rob Allen's designs. My, oh my, those are nice. I'd take one of each, please, but if that's not an option, I would probably be content with a fretted short- or medium scale four string Deep model. Or maybe a fiver with a high C. I can dream, can't I?
