Tom your band would be worth seeing if for no other reason than to enjoy the gear that you bring with you. Kind of like the bass amp equivalent to the guitar collection that Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick) carrys (or used to carry anyway).

Thanks, jmain! I'm set now with one to leave in the sanctuary and one that hangs with me. I have a nice little Clarus/Contra EX to play at home but it is also in demand for e-drum amplification and even the occaisional vocal for my son and his cousin.

Very nice. One of the greatest heads of all time. How do you like the compressor w/it? Mine's a 1st version & I finally got rack ears for it a couple weeks ago. I always smile when I see an 800RB at a show. I know the bassist will have a problem-free night & sound great doing it.

Thanks, I really dig the GK stuff (as you can tell). As far as the compressor..the juries still out. I picked it up cheap on the "Bay" about a month ago just to kinda fill the slot and give compression a go. I think that overall it tightens up my sound a little and it's pretty transparent. I'm toying with the idea of getting a pedal compressor to A/B the two. Hope this helps.
