If your going to use different patches with different amp models it's hard to tweak the volume levels properly...
... especially in a band situation.
And that's my issue right now, I'm just forming a band (metal) and I need something more straight forward.
All those amp modelling and effects are fine when you are private practicing or playing around at home. Or even for recording purposes but I don't have experience with that.
Line 6 is very good at what they claim to offer, their products are of good quality and all sounds good.
But at the end of the day it's just a toy, IMO and IME.
I'm not saying it will not work in a band situation, it's just not my cup of tea.
And as far as effects, it's not bad.
Although I am an effect junkie and have many pedals at home, in my new band I'm hardly using effets at all because we have a keyboard player (and a guitarist off course).
So the Line 6 POD X3 in general isn't what I need to get the job done.
It's still fun for me to use at home, with bass or with my guitar, I'm just playing guitar for practice so I don't need a lot of gear for guitar.

I'd LOVE to try out one of those 425's. How's it pairing with the MESA?
I sounds great, to my ears. The Berg gets fairly low with very pronounced mids, which the Mesa is great at producing. Certainly the highs are plenty for me... not much of a tweeter guy. It can also handle quite a bit of power the Mesa can dish out while still retaining its musicality(is that a word?
) I will admit that i'm a bit more 'gun-shy' about cranking it then I used to be with a Mesa 400+ that I had. I guess it's that whole tube thing. The Titan is a lot quicker, if that makes sense. I've run it through my Aggie GS212 a little bit and it puts out some scary lows, but can really work the drivers in it. I'd love to check out a GS412 with it
Here's some pics of my three rigs. The Traynor is a 1967 YB3-A Custom Special all original. it doesn't get taken out of the house much but its very warm sounding and freakin loud.
The Shuttle 6.0 sees the most use these days and is simply amazing.
My Nav/QSC rig is also really something and the whole rack weighs less then 25 pounds.
My cabs are so versatile. The 410XLT is a 4 ohm cab, the 210XLT and 210XST are both 8 ohm so I can mix and match almost any combo or run all three from the QSC.
Way too much gear for my talents, but it sure is fun!

Thanks. I've spent a little more than a decade away from tube amps (owned an SVT + 810 back in the day) so I'm getting back to speed by first getting a Peavey VB-2 and then re-immersing myself in the tube culture.
