Yeah, that's the CB112.
I don't find it being muddy (or lack of definition) even when the bass eq is crank up. And having the tweeter turn up to about 1/3 of the way IMO gives the best result in reinforcing the sound especially when I'm trying to go for the mid growl jazz sound.
For $164 is definitely worth a try!!
Yeah, I've got the CB115, it's not "muddy" but it does lack definition considering there's no tweeter. Worth the money, but I think I may just save up a bit and get one of those Aguilar GS112s,

Wow there are some realy high $ rigs in this thread.

On the other end of the scale is mine

An old Crate B160-XL 15" driver 160W at 4ohm with a 2ohm min load.
I bought this used back in 89-90

Cheap xaudio 210 cab I bought for less than $90 (shiping included) off the internet.
Its not the best sounding cab I have ever heard but for the price its not bad.
I bought it to try and get a little more punch and high end clairity, and it does just that.
If it cost any more than it did I would not get one though.

You've seen most of this before, but I just added a couple Avatar cabinets to the pile. The B212 is loaded with Delta 12LFs and the CB115H (purchased empty) is loaded with an EVM 15B that I had laying around. The CB115H cabinet is sized and tuned about the same as the TL606 cabinet that EV designed for the EVMs.

The only other addition was the Peavey DPC-1000 1U power amp in the bottom of the lower rack.

Crazic,
My GK is that way, and in a 4 space rack. Mount the head in the top of the rack. I would suggest you drill small vent holes in a nice pattern above the fan outlet about the same diameter as the heads outlet hole. It will really only look good if you have a plastic rack though.

Geeez TimV, nice work. My buddy has 2 early 70's SVT's and he had to restore one of them badly. Be careful of the plate voltages if you are working with any electronics!!!

Again, nice work !!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I know about the voltage inside. This is the second one I am working on. This still has the plate cap tubes too. I'm going to look at the preamp tonight and replace the filter cap up there and if everything else looks good fire it up and see what happens. I will have completed pictures next week once the digital camera is back at home. I took pictures of the whole process basically and would like to make a web page with them all at some point.

With the gain set just before clip, I didn't need to go higher than 1.5 on the master volume in a room which held over 100. Cool!

Damn Big O...

you got a Big and Nice rig:)

They still put the 6146's in them up till the end of 70'. They did a couple circuitry changes between 69 and 70 also. I have 2 different power amp schematics for the 6146 svt's. I turned it on last night and everything is working. Now I just need some new tubes and to clean the tube sockets. Forgot to dissconnect the polarity switch after adding a 3 conductor cord and blew a circuit breaker.
