vintage (by the automotive definition of the term), naturally reliced, headless, active, and carbon necked!

...wear is wear, where ever!;) In fact, other than hs dings, buckle-rash is probably the first place player wear shows up. I wear my belt with the buckle at my left hip and I once saw a pic of Keith Richards from the 70's doing the same.

Wonder if the (alder?) body is roasted also. Roasted wood makes shoulders happy! :)

Well I missed a Nash JB 63 that a lucky tb’r has now but I should say it worked out for a reason. This past Saturday at my local GC I tried out a 1971 vintage Fender Jazz. It felt just right. So with that being said I went back on Sunday to show my wife, plus I had a few questions that I had thought about the previous evening.
So here is the hook the dates on the pots are the week of 19 of April 1971, my birthday week! It’s a refin but the truss rod, pots, neck, frets are original. The color is not, neither is the pickguard. I’m not entirely sure about the ash trays either. The hard shell case is original.

I dig this bass. I would, if I could, choose taos turquoise for the headstock face to match that body. Awesome bass.

I'm generally not a blue person - but that bass rocks! Is it Lake Placid Blue? In the top 2 pics it looks more like (Gibson's) Pelham Blue. Now don't go putting tort on it - the white pg is perfect. :thumbsup:

Only thing I will change is a new case I want to keep the original out of the elements and safe. all the rest I intend to keep as she sits, no tort for me lol!
Yes Lake Placid blue, funny I'm not usually a blue type either but this one just seemed to look right. I'm not sure when the refin was done I am thinking a while ago.

Well shoot...now I dont even WANT to show you my new bass en route for today since it is LPB and tort.:laugh::laugh::laugh: I will agree though, that Jazz is perfect AS IS, what a beauty!
