SHOW YOUR DISTRESSED FINISHES!

Yeah, way more if in nice shape - easily $25k + these days.

I bet that black ‘61 was amazing! Something about a black P Bass with a green guard, quite a rare color on a pre-cbs bass as well.

Yeah, very early for a green guard as well. That was $375 with the original brown case (about 1983). Those were the days for vintage hunting. I missed a '59 gold guard/slab board for $275 at a pawn shop a couple years before.

Wow. I had a late ‘61 Jazzmaster in LPB with a green guard, I believe they introduced them in mid-late ‘61?

Love the look of a custom color/green guard without a matching headstock, my favorite variation!

Generally didn't see the green guards until '62 but they started to trickle out in '61 (on the basses at least, I'm not sure on the Jazzmasters and Jaguars - obviously Strats and Teles were using them earlier) and matching headstocks in later '62 (other than some really rare exceptions before).

Wow! Some fantastical P-bass examples! You got me with the 1 pu Silvertone/Dano - I saw one (refinished and distressed) recently still for sale on Reverb - I'll try to locate and post it. (I just don't want to be tempted right now...)

That's quite the baseboard in this picture. No pun intended. I mean that baseboard is a foot high and intricately routed!

The whole space (as much as we can see) looks amazing. (flooring, wall colour) I work in the home restoration world and yes, that baseboard is primo. Definitely the house of someone who has taste/style and knows quality. Although all very nice, the second from the left P (robins egg blue) is my fave.

Finally, what would a drop be without some Gibson representation. A lightly refinished EB-0 1961.

Beauties. The sonic blue stack looks like a repro or custom shop, etc but the rest all look like the real things. Love that Burgundy Mist.
