They do, a couple I really liked. I don't know if they have a 'showroom', but I'd best not go as it would be too tempting!

As mentioned, love the checking - the real thing from time rather than Freon, etc. Also great how the yellowed clear has turned the silver to gold:

This may be a little off topic, but what are you thoughts on the vintage market right now? Seems as though prices are as high as I have seen them by a significant amount. Not sure what is causing that but have noticed a significant jump. For example, I saw today a very clean 1965 precision in LPB going to over 15K. I had seen similar going for 9K-10K just a few months prior.

Speculating easily could get political (why I try to limit looking at the coronavirus thread). It does seem like the vintage and used instrument market has been propped up to a degree these last couple months with a lot of people at home with free time to look and shop (and stimulus checks...) - it's going to be interesting to see what impact the elevated unemployment will have longer term. I would not buy right now myself (at least high dollar vintage at market rates) as I recall the hit vintage stuff took back in 2008 - but that's just me.

I'm sitting tight. Not sure if I'm in the market or not. I love them but most of my disposable income has been going into remodeling the house. Dropping 3K for a FCS bass is not a painful but then again, it's not the same thing.

I think a few more steps and you're almost there. Looks like it needs a wet sanding, clear coat, (buffing?/maybe bypass) and take some time in this thread to check out the samples of original worn basses or guitars. Find your favorites and see if you can replicate it. Bumping and chipping in logical areas were the instrument normally receives them. If you're going for a pre-64 jazz with the grounding strip, you may consider swapping out your current single groove barrel saddle bridge for a period correct deeper grooved spiral saddle with soft radius plate.
