I’d have a hard time saying no to pretty much anything you post, but that’s over the line for me. So, no.'72 Tele currently on eBay (no affiliation) - I can't image it named anything but "Crusty"... (I can smell the nicotine from here!)

That bass has stinky breath.

Of note - someone pro-installed a very nice lined-ebony fb as seen in these pics. I mean this in a totally positive way,More Teisco Del Rey love - I saw a pic of this on a Goggle search, and when I further I investigated I saw that it was an old (sold) Reverb listing of a bass I now own with much nicer pics than I have taken of it!Of note - someone pro-installed a very nice lined-ebony fb as seen in these pics.

After purchasing it locally from a craigslist posting, I modded it by adding a Guild RI Darkstar pu and Manton knob for a 4-way pu switch. (last click being a kill-switch) Also swapped the vintage creme Teisco V/T knobs for their black cousins. I also installed LaBella flats on it. I can be nudged into seling it if anyone is interested. (PM me) It's a pretty cool vintage short-scale fretless.

I mean this in a totally positive way,
That bass reminds me of Gumby.
Wow, that one has been road hard and put away wet.........lol
Those are all great. I know I'd go to hell for it but I wouldn't care and if that Tele bass was mine I would have to respray that body. I mean, if I owned it I could do that. That body has so much cigs, DNA, and whatever that is/did that to the back (urine?!?!?) I just wouldn't care and Dakota red would be it. Now, that neck...wouldn't change a thing. It's where the secret mojo lives.

I know many of you would not agree, but if the price was fair and I could find it on the bay, I would by the worn out 72. She has lived a hard life and some people have played her hard, and I would gladly give her some shows on stage again.
Yes rough as it is. I kind of warm up to instruments that had it rough.
Beautiful.
I could get rid of the smell
68, 71 and 72 all have special places on my heart and always looking for a lost one that needs help.

Man I dig this... But that has some funk. Looks like someone has tried to clean it off the back and failed miserably..![]()
I have never seen a Ric like that before. Interesting.
