I sold my Fiesta RI Jazz.........what was I thinking???

Found an old pic of it that I had scanned.

1988 (Corona made) 62 AVRI Jazz. The green on the control plate is a decal that I put on, was easily removed for sale. No mater how hard I tried, I just couldn't dig this bass like my Fullerton made 62RI Jazz, so in need of cash, I sold it.

There were many layers of paint on this. When I scraped out the paint from the neck pocket to get the neck to sit in there deeper, I came across a metallic blue of some sort, white, and black (not in that order, that I don't recall, too long ago). Bass was quite a bit heavier, and the body thicker, than my Fullerton.

It did look great though, I had the tort guard from my Fullerton on there for a while and it looked even better.

To my eye that looks like the red-red Torino Red, not the pinker Fiesta.

I see what you mean, but that's just the scan screwing things up a bit. It wasn't quite that red looking. It was somewhere between salmon and tomato soup looking. I don't think the AVRIs ever came in Dakota Red.
