Cool! What bass is this?

This then:It’s a DiMarzio High Mass bridge. I like it because it has the strings pull through holes in the center of bridge feet. The action feels
more like a Double Bass. They stopped production on them a long time ago.
Can't be any cruder than this...That's the one. Their pretty crude in comparison with modern bridges.
AVRI '62 w/TR route added?

Nice bass and also great snap. You sure know how to take a great pic. When I did more slap funk I was playing an '01 Jazz V with the worst B string I've ever played, just used it as a thumb rest.
For a more recent project I picked up a '79 MIJ Greco Mercury Bass (Brazen Picker Professional, I just love the name). LaBella flats on it. Deep and smooth. Neck on this thing is a bit whacky, but it's been a fun project.

Yes the pickup and bridge covers themselves did nothing for the sound or shielding. The only contribution the bridge cover made was to hold the sponge rubber mute to the strings, that was it.Didn't Marcus Miller say the covers did nothing? There's a video of him somewhere.....
