It's a 'new old' m.i.J. Allparts neck. Real ebony on good maple. I think it was reduced substantially because there are no fret markers. Schaller machineheads & roller bridge, ObsidianWire pots/harness, Fender vintage noiseless p/u's.
Neck was barebones (good - only the Schaller-dimension headstock counterbores), no top nut. Russo Music downastreet had bone blanks on hand.
I routed the body for truss-rod access, but it probably wasn't necessary. That neck is A++ with [gasp] *no* tension on the truss-rod.
Currently strung with roundwound Billy Sheehan Rotos 43-110, which are quite good.
I'll never replace what I had [one of Jaco's, picked up in London c. 1979] - but I'm in love with this gal!
