Hey Guys and gals, I just got a Fender Bassman 135 and I just love the tone it gives. As soon as I plugged it in I was amazed by its sound. I'm using as custom made 4x10" cab with eminence delta lites, I just love the warmth of the low range and the punchy sound it gives to my Warwick Streamer Standard.

Each channel has the dual inputs in parallel. By using a jumper cable you are passing your basses signal into the 2 channels of the Bassman. It sounded louder, and gave the perception that you could get different tones. Not so sure you couldn't get the same effect with tweaking one channel but this was a loooong time ago for me. Even though its been years since I've owned a Bassman ( 2, a Blond brownface, and a silverface) I fondly recall using one as my first bass amp.

I used to put presence controls on silverface bassmans! My first self bought amps were a 100 and a 135. Used a boss parametric eq pedal with them..got nice sounds.

Kinda wish I had them still, but they'd never get much use.

Fantastic, as long as you don't push them too hard. I always like a little "edge" from my Bassman when I was using it.

This thread is sooo painful!
I had a Bassman 100 silverface that I played through an Acoustic 2x15 cab. ONe night someone broke into my apartment and stole it and my Fender Precision.

I got the Precision back a year later through an extrordinary set of circumstances but not the Bassman.

The Bassman 100 had the best tone I've yet had from an amp. Its only drawback was it wasn't loud enough for the rock bands I played with back in the day. But I still want one and recently began watching ebay auctions and keeping my eyes open for one locally. I still have that old Acoustic cab, it needs to be refurbished and new speakers installed so that when I finally get another Bassman, it will have the perfect place to sit.

Nice clean rig johnk_10! I too have a Bassman (50), I'll probably never sell it great tone I love the natural overdrive...I bass my entire tone and playing style off of it. I'm currently looking into biamping my bassman with an Eden WT400. Has anyone else biamped with a Bassman?
