Thanks, actually, it's a single layer black version of the '68-'72 Telecaster style guard going by the number of screws.

The Cowpoke guard is similar but a bit smaller...

Here's mine. Mahogany body with an exhibition grade flamed bubinga cap, birdseye maple fingerboard (pearloid bound with abalone block inlays) and birdseye maple neck), all gold hardware and the full Sadowsky pickup/preamp package complete with Vintage Tone Control. Finished in Danish Oil/poly. As close as you can get to building yourself a tasty classic J-style with all the luxuries of Sadowsky. I love this bass!

Hilarious!!! I much appreciate the analogy! Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that vodka martinis and bass do NOT mix, shaken or stirred...as evidenced during my New Years Eve 2006 gig's after-party. ::hiding: But yes, I am glad to finally bring some class to this joint! :cool:

Here are two of my three Warmoths:

The Blueburst is a Korina P body with a quilt cap, all Bird'seye Jazz neck, EMG P/J's and BTC, BAII and Schaller hardware.

The Amber is a Mahogany Dinky P with a quilt cap, all Macassar Ebony Jazz neck, Fralin reverse P, Duncan CS MM, OBP-3 and all Schaller hardware.

I really dig the Dinky body. I'm thinking Dinky body, lefty neck so it will be reversed for me and a single Villex P pup with a Villex passive booster :bassist:

The "gig" was this past November. Back in the spring, when we were putting the party together, we'd hired a kickass eight-piece with horns and three vocalists, so I figured it would be cool to arrange a medley of songs with variations of the name "Shari" (my wife's name) to really set the night apart. Both of us had a ton of family fly in from all around the country and I thought this would make for something truly different and memorable for everyone.

So, the final medley came out to a tight 10 minute rocking set of "Sherrie Baby --- My Cherie Amour --- Oh Sherrie --- My Sharona".

I didn't know this when I was actually up there playing the set, but on the video you can hear very clearly everyone in the crowd laughing as they recognized each of the Sherrie songs and then singing along with the band as we played through.

And of course I figured this would be a GREAT occasion to build myself a new bass - one that would be forever associated with playing it at my wedding! :hyper:

Some more pix of the Warmoth/Sadowsky in action...I am really pleased with how this bass turned out.
