Shuttle 9.0?

Kirk, don't play one. Trust me on this.

Tom Bowlus has one. Played it when I was at his house a while back. I had to stop and didn't plug into it again. It was THAT good.
IMO anyway!

I remember that day... it took a crowbar to unplug you, three of us to hold you back, a whole box of tissues to dry the tears later, and the whole time after that, you just held the end of your guitar cord out in the general direction of the SA200 looking like a lost puppy. I actually got a little choked up myself. ;) :D :D :D :D

That's pretty much it!!! :D

I have an offer to me for a Mesa 400+ for a trade deal for some of my other gear.
About the most opposite way you can go from the 9.0.

I'm scared to do it because, what if I LIKE the 400+. Then I would have to move it around and stuff...........

But man, what and A/B that would be!!!!! 400+ vs. 9.0

Ken absolutely can not stand it if there are a bunch of GB threads going on and (for some reason) MarkBass is not getting enough air time. I have noticed this time and time again and kind of got a little ugly with him in a thread a while back. I probably should not have done that but that whole smoothly/politely pushing, is pushing none the less.

Ken I hope you do not take offense to what I just said but that is the way you come across. :)

I feel like I have an objective opinion as I have no dog to push. Currently my main amp is the MarkBass LMIII and I love it but you can bet I will have my hands on a 9.0 as soon as I can find the cash.

I say the more Genz Benz threads the better, no matter who starts them. I really really like those guys. I think they are way more professional than some folks. I like how they go about what they do and I like their products. The Shuttle Max 12.0 is insane. :)

Yes I do...and, it is NEVER leaving my studio. I wish I had the cab (Sad 4x10) to go with it. This is pretty much my "reference" amp...eventhough it isn't a "flat" amp.

And FWIW, I have said a lot of good things about Genz-Benz gear (particularly the Shuttle 6.0/12, NEOX-212T, ShuttleMAX 12.0 and Uber410/212, if anyone's paying attention :smug:), and I am most definitely not an endorser. :bassist: :bassist: :bassist: :cool:

ah...well, I was really harping on Andy to do it. As a bass player inside the industry, I know what I'd like to have in the line and I know what we could sell. However, Andy knows more about putting amps together than I ever will.

When he finally told me of the R&D costs and the manufacturing costs :eek::eek: involved to put this together, to a standard we demand, I had to back off.

We have a VERY small R&D team- Jeff, Andy, Scott Andres (our SR. Tech....and a wonderful bassist) and myself. This R&D team is also handling all marketing, artist relations, ad copy.....blah blah. I just can't afford all of us working on a tube amp at this time. Plus, I think it would come in at a price that the market wouldnt tolerate.

Almost had to do CPR on Roger when he got the estimate, he twitched for weeks.
