Simple, but hypnotic bass lines

I now must hear the rest of that King Curtis rekid.

It's a great album and an awesome band, with Jerry Jemmott on bass, Bernard Purdie on the drums, Billie Preston on the organ, Cornell Dupree on guitar and the Memphis Horns.

It was recorded during the days when King Curtis and his band "The Kingpins" were opening for and backing Aretha Franklin on her live album "Aretha Live at Fillmore West".
 
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (it might be a bit obscure), but: Runaway by 'Beats Antique'.

original might have a synth bass plaing the main bassilne, but I heard the 'live version' (at the bottom) first - so i'm including it anyway:

My Dad had that and other of his record on vinyl.
I used to listen to it at age 17
I have part of my Dads records in my closet.
