Simple, but hypnotic bass lines

I saw these guys during this time period, very early '90s. Cabaret Metro in Chicago. It was the last time it was the entire original lineup, including bass play Steve Garvey. I'll never forget it.
The Smashing Pumpkins were the opening band. It was their first concert ever that could be considered a big deal.

I don't know that it's quite hypnotic but whatever... I love George Murray's work with Bowie.
