A thousand times yes on this one. I'd say this is the essence of simple, but hypnotic. Same 4-bar riff for 8 minutes and you never tire of it.

A thousand times yes on this one. I'd say this is the essence of simple, but hypnotic. Same 4-bar riff for 8 minutes and you never tire of it.
I don't think Graham Maby ever played anything simple with Joe Jackson.

Here's what first popped into my head when I saw the thread title ("simple by hypnotic..."). I can still remember the first time I hear it, thinking, "WOW! What a hypnotic bass line!". Not sure whether it's Tim Drummond or Carl Radle on bass. They both played on that album ("Naturally").
