Thanks, man! Here's another.

There was no shortage to choose from. Had a 18 year old Macallan in the pub and a bottle of 15 year old Bowmore to keep me company in the hotel.

One of two things you missed is that this is a thread about scotch and not semantics.Nothing went over my head.
You said they had a massive "whiskey" collection.
We were concerned with their "whisky" collection.
You said it's "whiskey" in this country. No, it's not. In this country, we make whiskey, and over there they make whisky. They are not different spellings, they are different products.
You now say it's whatever the makers call it.
Congratulations, now you've got it right.![]()
Ouch!Nice shotSo you got in and around the castle ok? I wasn't sure what it'd be like, with the military tattoo on the go and whatnot.
Isn't 15 still a bit young to be taking back to the hotel?![]()

Don't you think it a little silly to say the same thing everyone already understands as you bust balls trying to change the meaning of other peoples words?
You're not even paying attention close enough to who said what and your suggestion that I've finally got it right, simply because I wrote it out in a way you could finally agree with meant that I'd changed my understanding suggests that you need to go pour yourself a dram and relax.
It wasn't bad at all. I think the performances happened later in the evening. During the day there was no problems. 15 would be too young is we weren't talking Scotch.![]()

What else do you need?
Back to my first malt tonight: Glenmorangie 10. The first one I tried (2001)- a colleague insisted a single malt was the only way to finish a night out and that was the one behind the bar. And also the first one I bought in 2002 - a litre bottle from the off-duty on board a Mediterranean cruise ship.
Believe it or not, that's the same bottle I still have. I reckon there's one dram left in it. I've never actually finished a bottle - I drink sparingly and buy quicker than I consume. 11 years is a pretty good return on my investment.
You do realize you're supposed to drink it and not smell it, right?
Pretty tough to beat that on the "Intensity per Dollar" scale.Had a nice little laphroaig 10 in said glaincairn![]()
Apparently you've already had one too many. Take an aspirin, get some much needed rest and stay away from talk of panties in threads dedicated to drink, for as we all know, panties and booze go well together, but best in private.I had a smiley.
If you cannot recognize just a bit of tongue in cheek, EVEN with a big green grin, then perhaps I am not the one who need a dram.
Only one of us has (apparently) been taking this seriously. I thought my last post might get that across. Apparently not.
If one of us has their panties in a bunch, I can assure you, it is not myself.
I'm heading back to the boat to pour a Glencairn of Corryvreckan - perfect.Had a nice little laphroaig 10 in said glencairn![]()
