i think bourbon / rye is delicious, and being american, i like supporting the local variety of whiskey. truth be told i always find the flavor variety in scotch much more interesting - but lets not kid ourselves- bourbon and rye taste great!

My current favorite (and it's very easy on the wallet) is Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban...delicious!
I'm not a Scotch expert, but like Scotch! Our local grocery store continues to expand their selection, and I just picked up a Lagavulin 16. To my taste buds, it is SUPERB! Good price too!
I think you'll see from the last few pages that you've got one of the greats there!
Lagavulin is stellar. Vermont doesn't sell the Cao ila, but that is an islay that I absolutely love. Can't go wrong with an older laphroig either, if you're into smoke.
