Wow congrats! That was quick
My bass came in! I'm at work though and I shipped it to my parents so I won't be able to see it until either tonight or tomorrow!! I told my dad he can open it though if he sent pics - here is one!

I'm so excited to get it a whirl. For those wondering, shipping thomann from Germany to NB, Canada costed $122.

You have great taste. I bought the same one.
This has become my absolute favorite .
I plan on ordering a hipshot dtuner for it.
I received a nice Sire Glitter/ Sparkle pickguard from another tb member.
He said it was silver sparkle but it seems to flip colors depending on how the light hits it. Goes from black sparkle to gold sparkle to silver sparkle.
I'm still amazed at the quality to price point ratio.

Nice! So what was your grand total in Canadian dollars?

My new Sire Marcus Miller V7 Alder-5 Fretless in Antique White is on its way from Thomann and will be delivered tomorrow by noon. I will take her for my weekly jazz practice tomorrow evening.

@lowdownthump, which model of hipshot D-tuner will you order? BT1, same as HB1?
I don't need a D-tuner on my V7 fiver that will arrive tomorrow, but I would like to know if the Hipshot reguler HB1 is really a direct replacement for Sire V7.
I wonder if the Schaller BM is another direct replacement.

Beautiful! I ordered the same only in the sunburst. Estimated ship date from Sire USA is tomorrow. I'm not anticipating a tracking email tomorrow, though. I was torn between sunburst and black...the pic of yours looks really nice. Enjoy!!!

Quick question about the vintage 5 bridge. Does anyone know what the saddles are of? I emailed Mickey but didn't get a reply. On the Sire website I've read one of his answers about this but he only states that the plate is steel. It looks plated but I can't tell if it's zinc or nickel. Also, did anyone try it with brass saddles?
