The hex key refuses to get a good grip of the truss rod adjuster. I can see that there is also a smaller hole for a torx key. Anyone know what size it is? I don't have any on hand so i got to order one
Don't know on the torx, but I did find the truss rod adjustment to be a little finicky (tight) about getting the wrench in - really has to be aligned perfectly to go in far enough to grip. I think that means it's less likely to strip down the road. But if yours is not gripping and stripping out, I would just ask Sire about it. On the torx size question too, they're the ones who know.
Nice shot! I was curious about how thick the neck is on a V7 5-string (from the fretboard to the back of the neck). Would you mind measuring yours?

I'm planning to make a purchase from Thomann, as it seems to be the easiest way to get one without the long wait!
Do these come with the chrome pickup cover? I think in the previous posts, I read that the one's from Thomann do NOT come with a gig bag, but I wasn't sure about the pickup covers.

Finally played my new Sire V7 Vintage outside of practice! I got so many compliments on my basses warm lows and beautiful growls haha. It did not fail to impress! I'm so happy with my purchase.

I also have an estimated ship date of Nov 30. I just saw a post on fb, someone else who has the same ship date said he contacted Sire and they told him Dec 9th.

You can get a lot of tones out of the M7! Great bass.
Does anyone know what the spacing can adjust to? I'm digging mine the way it is, but I wanted to know just for reference.I believe it is 18 mm. An important fact that is often overlooked: the M7 has ADJUSTABLE string spacing at the bridge.
Sorry, I don't know... like you, I have been fine with it as-in. So, I haven't adjusted it. They don't even include in the product page that it HAS adjustable spacing, let alone give any details on what the possible range of widths might be.
My V7 5 has an amazing low B!!! It is tight, well defined and a killer tone! I'm currently using DR Hi Beams. Killer strings for a killer bass!!!
To anyone who has an estimated ship date of Nov 30th for their order. I just got a message on FB from another soon to be Sire owner, that he got his UPS tracking email today. I have not seen one as of yet. Has anyone else gotten their tracking?
