Small(ish) cab to pair with an SVT

I've been told that by one or two individuals at a show - my small cab is a Berg CN212.
Sounds awesome with my SVT's, the mids sound better with this cab than with my Berg NV412.
This was a rig I absolutely loved...
78 SVT, US Ampeg 1x15 modded with an Eminence Kappa 4ohm, mid bass, 450w speaker. Grill and cloth made by fliptops.
I did this 4 or 5 times. Always loved it.
Pair of wonderful basses too. 71 P, refinished 74 LP signature.

I use an ampeg ss12EC. it is a stereo, independently sealed guitar cab. I have a carvin driver on one side and an eighteensound (Italian driver) on the other.

I’ve run my SVT with my CN212 and it indeed sounds awesome. Only annoyance is the tall column design of the berg cab. I just ran the amp on the floor, but that takes up extra stage room.
Have low down sound build you a cab. I just got a fully custom 2x15 that sounds incredible for 700 and some change shipped. Has tilt back wheels, top and side handles, and weights 55bs and he can give you any aesthetic you want. And it's relatively compact

For THAT sound you really need to use THAT cab IMO. Ampeg SVT cabs are a huge part of the SVT sound. I personally don't like that sound very much and for MY taste I would recommend using a 2x12 Bergantino sideways but it won't give you THAT sound.
Your right. The Fearful cab your thinking of is called the '15-6 Tube' and is 24" wide.

Your SVT will correctly sit on this cab without overhang. That's what the cab is designed to do. They look great with grill cloth chosen to match your bass head!
I just don't think the Fearful 15-6 Tube will give you the Ampeg 'tone' you are looking for. I'm quite certain it will instead sound like a Fearful 15-6, and you will not be happy with it if you are looking for something that sounds similar to your 610AV, an 810e, etc.
As you know, TB people who have them swear by the Ampeg 212AV and repeatedly claim this cab retains in full measure that Ampeg 'tone' you (and me) are looking for. Heck, the 112AV might even do it for you if your just micing it up for IEM's.

Well, here's where I'm thinking something outside the box may work. The 610AV sounds nothing at all like the 810e. The 610 is ported. Some even call it "boomy". While the 810e is pure low mid thump. (Both good cabs and I love what they both do.)
Are you familiar with the sound of the 15-6? Do you know where it sits in the spectrum compared to either/both cans? I'm genuinely curious.
I'm afraid I'm not going to be very helpful. From personal experience all I can say is there was a used 15-6 at Sam Ash here in town I played through a few years ago. Can't for the life of me remember what kind of head it was. The cab was definitely loud. It definitely gets down there, maybe about a half an octave lower than one might expect of a typical bass cab. Not at all boomy in that situation, though. It just didn't sound like an Ampeg cab. Very Hi-fi would be a good description, I guess. That's about all I remember about it except that it's bigger and louder than what I need. That 15-6 is a lot of cab.
Fearful claims otherwise, but because they are 2 or 3 way, they are going to be problematic in my opinion to mic up. The idea was supposed to be, I think, that the cabs are so flat and un-colored that you just use a direct box and what you hear from the cab is what you'll get from the PA. So if your looking for Ampeg tone in your IEM's from a miced bass cab, I don't know if the Fearful thing would do it for you.
Those 610HLF / AV's respond brilliantly to a variable HPF.
Someone around here was gigging an SVT with 4 SVT210av. I'm sure 2 could give you enough punch.

Hey, I recognize that rig...it's mine, or was rather.
That's exactly what I came here to suggest doing with the SVT: Two 210AV cabs. Since volume is not needed, the 210AV cabs are an easy schlep and nail the SVT tone.
SVT heads sound great through just about any cab you got that can reproduce the sound and handle the brute force. I use mine through ported 15"s sometimes and I can still hear that nice big Ampeg sound. An 810 Ampeg tightens up the sound and makes your sound very articulate but you lose some fundamental at the same time, most ported cabs will add at least more of the fundamental and any decent one will still be fairly tight.
Ah, in regards to the SVT and 2 2x10's... I used someone else's at a gig and it sounded great.

Nice rig! I settle for an SVT 7Pro due to weight issues. But I'd rather have a real SVT!
Currently not in vogue, but an Eden D-210-XST rated @ 500 Watts RMS, highly efficient, goes down to the mid 30hz, and comes with a black metal grill. Easily handled by what’s left of this 67 year carcass.
Part of the charm of the old 810 SVT cab was the response of the ten inch speakers.
Just asking, how much is an HPF like that? Not that I’d want to give Stumbo the credit for bringing these to my attention, but I just might pick one up
