Yeah, but consider this.
I also lived through to 70’s. My 1970 P bass has a four bolt neck. It isn’t all original.
Coincidence?![]()
Maybe your friend is still living in the ‘70s.My 75 fender pbass wasn't all original because it had a 4 bolt neck. Even used the line "i lived through the 70s."
Why?

I was born in the fifties. Lived through the seventies. Am now in my sixties. It happens sometimes. I lived through the 70’s and had hip replacement surgery so I’m not all original.

I certainly am lol froze my mind in the framework of June '75 knowing it wasn't going to get any betterMaybe your friend is still living in the ‘70s.

Yes! SS. And I don’t mean Short Scale or Solid State.I lived through the 70's ........is there a prize ?
That's because FrankenFenders only had two bolt necks in the 70's; the third bolt having rolled under the couch when I was putting it together and it was too hard to reach.Frankenstein didn't live to be 70, and that's because he only had a two bolt neck.
Probably for the same reason you started your post in the title. My 75 fender pbass wasn't all original because it had a 4 bolt neck. Even used the line "i lived through the 70s."
Why?
That's exactly what my band is trying to accomplish...bringing back music from that era.I certainly am lol froze my mind in the framework of June '75 knowing it wasn't going to get any better
