The connector into the transmitter has a threaded locking sleeve
I can build you a custom (much better cable than stock) premium components $30 shipped to you. You tell me the length you want and straight or 90 on the 1/4 end

Thanks pbass2, I gigged with the xdr95 for a few years until my pianist passed on tragically and I stopped for about 3 years, sold on the x2 - gigging again now and even rebuilt my rig, rebuilt my pedalboard, modified my Demeter and alembic preamps to work with this new pedalboard- a 4 core loom goes to the rack from pedalboard, and all I need now is a new wireless...

It looks a big box on the pedal board comparatively ... the XDR95 receiver was quite small, and the Shure GLXD6 is small (and reduces the tuner space) ....hmmmm. Still looks like a very good unit though, and if there was a review on the tuner on the Shure I'd may consider that one, right now... not sure. The Sony allows me to use whatever tuner I want though.

Picked up one from Sleepymonkey. Feels better than the old X2 I gigged with. Certainly more features. Lost all my old X2 transmitter cables, so I'll make up a new batch. Certainly appreciate default setting being full range, I remember making up custom cables so the receiver would send out full range instead of cable tone in the x2. Found a pouch to fit the transmitter perfectly, in Japanhomestore. $2.50 yay

Short and sharp review: can't fault it, does what it needs to do perfectly.

It is a chain store in Asia and OZ I gather... where everything is $2.50 unless it has another price tag.

Thank you Sleepy Monkey for the heads up on the rebate deal, I bought 2 of the Sony units and have a check sitting here for $60.00 from Sony already. What a great deal these are. So my cost each was $129.99, OH MY! How can you beat that, a great product at a fantastic price.

Awesome! You are welcome. Still haven't gotten my rebate but it is pending.

If you guys see any good deals on IEM systems let me know please. I need a good one.

I have enjoyed my Sony wirelss, but I just joined a band on saxophone, and I want to use the sony with my horn. I bought a nady cm60 with the mini locking plug, but I only get sound when I pull the nady plug out a little.

To save myself some hassle of figuring things out on my own ;) I am asking the following question.

If the electret condenser mic has a TS mini plug, and the sony uses TRS mini plug, how do I map the mic plug to what the transmitter needs?

Do you have the input selector set to Mic on the body pack?
