source audio c4

Yup was thinking adding volume for the 5th but my trouble is getting a nice clean octave up tone first and having troubles with that cause I cant eliminate a warble associated with the octave up tone. Sounds like detune or some other effect. Once I get that ill dive in and add distortion, 5th volume controlled through expression pedal etc. Thanks for your reply @Gibs210
Edit: What should my source and destination be set to in Voice section of editing? Thinking tnat might be my problem.
Thanks!
Whatever voice you are assigned to for level. Source depends on if you using the hub you expression pedal direct.

I've reduced my patches from 128 to 115 - is it possible to reduce the number of options to 115 on my DMC.micro? It's annoying having to scroll through empty patches, especially as you can't hold+scroll on the micro (have to press each tkme)

Hi everyone,

I've decided I'm going to use some Christmas funds on C4 and a DMC.micro.

I have read through the thread a bit but I still have a few questions about available presets/patches. The sounds I'd love to start with if available are a Flanger type sound and swells, is there anything like that available or how would I program them?

My second question is about the DMC.micro itself. This is my first foray into MIDI, so is there a crash course on how the controller works/how to set it up to use on the C4?

For flanger you'd be better off with Mercury/Lunar/Gemini.

Do you mean automated (volume) swells or manually-controlled ones?

Automated would be fine.

And for the flanger, I would be using that as a starting point for one sound. I also have a few other ideas I'd like to explore synth wise.
volume swells can be done by assigning volume to a pedal or by assigning an envelope to the voice(s).

So I would be able to do that in the app for designing presets?

Also how does the DMC.micro work with the pedal itself, I know it can be used to scroll through presets.
Yes, you can do pretty much
Received the C4 and started selecting presets. Has anyone written up some sort of tutorial on adjusting the volume of these presets for the setup that I have? I don't quite get it yet, I guess..any pointers would be welcome.
Input gain 1 and master volume are the obvious ones to tweak so that they fit your setup..

Sorry for asking such a noob question. In all fairness I did install multiple of your presets already.
No apology required; I hope you didn’t read rudeness in my response as none was intended.

Have you worked out the ideal input gain level for your bass yet? Do so by turning the input knob to zero on the pedal and slowly raise the knob while plucking. When the LED begins to flash red while plucking you have reached the correct level. Make a note of the numerical value in the editor and set nay patches you use to that level. (You’ll need to adjust if you use multiple basses.)

Thanks very much. This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I'll give it a whirl again tomorrow.

I had planned on asking the same question, so this answers it. Thanks!

Like Christophe C I tried the Uprising preset that’s for the Spectrum on my new C4. It doesn’t have much drive. I to tried adjusting different levels in the preset. Hoo Boy this one is going to take some time to figure out. I need to find the Synth for dummies manual.
I really like some of the demos I ve heard on the C4 but feel like it’s gonna take me a year to figure out how to be able to make my own .
I have a huge appreciation for those who know how to make the presets.
I can just about get by with the Hysteria preset that I found on the Neuro Community. Anyway, Thank you to everyone that are contributing all these great presets.

There are so many great people in this thread who share so many amazing patches to get you going, but this is a great old video that really is clear about how it all works at a nice pace, and very thorough:

Hi all, I just got a C4 and cannot get my settings tweaks to stick.

Specifically, I changed the Oct+/Oct- on the factory Pure Intervals preset to +7semi/Oct+, like my Quint Machine. However, the pedal continues to output Oct+/Oct-1 even after saving it, saving it under another name, after factory restart and resaving, etc.

Is there a specific way I should be disconnecting the pedal from my laptop? Ejecting?
