So on the desktop app, changing and saving changes to settings that are already burned in doesn't work? Saving doesn't save them to a library, only Export or Export to Cloud.
Maybe I would have more luck with the mobile app.

The settings show as changed when I plug in the pedal. But when I use it, it's still octave up/down.
Ok, I figured it out.
I changed the pedal mode to WYSIWYG and everything worked. I don't understand the Classic mode, so treating the synth like a normal pedal seems to do the trick.
Ah you are correct that it should work that way- I’ve been using “Burn” in my phone for edited presets. Sorry for the funky info (I must have been thinking of “Save to Cloud”), and not sure why Save isn’t working for you (reading the manual it seems it should)
Saving should work. Actually I’ve never used the burn button ever because I always need to edit gain & sensitivity settings before I put anything on the pedal.
That said I did run into a state where the pedal and app didn’t agree on 2 presets out of 50 something I have for some reason. Those two slots became uneditable despite the app thinking otherwise. I did a backup and restore of everything from the app and that fixed things.

Thanks again for suggesting Forscore/midi/C4 and also MidiPad2! I got it working quite nicely. Seems perfect for my needs.

For anyone using their C4 with an amp modeler, I've found that I actually prefer to bypass the amp and cab when the synth voices are engaged. The amp and cab take off a lot of the tasty high end of the filter sweeps. On my HX Stomp I have a switch dedicated to toggling between the SVT model for Bass and a Mic Pre that sends a CC to turn on the C4. The Mic pre warms up the tone in a nice way. The only catch is that I still prefer the Octaver tones with the amp model, so I might bite the bullet and get external buttons or a more robust midi controller that can send more commands at once.
I have found that with a controller like Morningstar, I’ve got the MC3, you’ll get endless possibilities to tweak stuff up and down or on and off for each preset. Hours and hours of pure fun!
Just got my C4 from Sweetwater. I tried it in the FX Loop, but I was getting a lot of clipping. Has anyone else experienced this?
I placed it directly after my tuner so I can get a cleaner signal in. Any advice?

In the FX loop of which device? HX Stomp?
First suggestion would be adjusting the C4 input gain and output volume to avoid clipping. Other users’ presets are obviously created using equipment different from your own so will almost always need to be adjusted for your setup.
Just an amplifier, specifically a Rumble Studio 40 (my main practice amp). I was actually reading the quick start guide and it says that you can calibrate the input. Would that work to limit clipping?
Also, thanks in advance for all the help, guys I'm very new to anything that isn't "plug and play."

The calibration will help but some patches might still need to have their output volume tweaked. Many patches are very loud.

There are lots of good things out there and it depends very much on your needs. I’d recommend checking out the “featured neuro artists” page of the SA site and checking out patches by those users (of which I’m one). Also check out patches by “thehook” and “annette”.
Shameless plug, if you want a reasonably convincing double bass patch check my feed or keyword search “upright”. I don’t think anyone else has made anything like this.
Just wanted to pop in and report I'm having a good ol' time scrolling through the giant community library and learning how this thing works (c4). I did spend a few months fooling around with the Spectrum and Neuro so that was a huge help. I'm not really an FX guy and I quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing when it comes to synth "programming" - or even the history of bass synthesizers in pop music for that matter. But I've downloaded a number of patches and have a pretty good working "top 6" for the pedal. Although it's tempting, I do not want to add any external midi switchers or controllers ... I need to keep this as compact and as simple as possible or it will just end up causing me more stress lol.
But the main reason I wanted to pipe up was to give a shout out to some of the awesome members for their creative patches in anticipation of using these on my cover jobs (hopefully back on the books by this summer.)
@fivestringgecko - man thanks so much for all the great cover patches. The basic 5sg is my favorite primary patch and I'm trying to season it for kind of a catch-all 70's synth sound for that era of Stevie wonder, et al. I'm also really digging all the MJ & Dua type patches - I'm learning a lot from those!
@markneary1 - I'm totally digging "the message" patch. Although I don't play a lot of hip hop stuff, this sound will definitely come in handy on several tunes I'm sure. There's a bunch I haven't gotten around to yet - so looking forward to working on those. Love the videos.
the hook (don't know if you're on TB?) but man- thanks for all the 80's synth patches. This one has been my biggest challenge as I'm trying to find the right blend that isn't too glitchy or harsh sounding but still has that hard edge 80's (FM?) sound and the best tracking (for me). I just found the newer DXB11 patch and also working with Goliath and, well, "80's bass" lol. I'm Realizing I need to readjust my playing to a more deliberate, staccato style - finding a pick helps immensely.
@sifrancis - digging the Fat Synth and some of the 808 stuff as well - super hip. If I ever get into looping, those 808s will sound amazing.
@Quatschmacher - wow so many creative patches I really don't even know where to begin! Most of these are above my paygrade. I think maybe if I ever decide to go for an expression pedal I could work in some more of these - but again, so cool.
I'm also digging Graham's (?) Koolaid Man Fat Filter - I originally found this on my Spectrum - it's nearly perfect for a certain cover that gets played at virtually every gig.
And others... sorry don't mean to leave anyone out... but what a generous and sharing community. I've found numerous phasers, chorus, and OD/fuzz patches that sound excellent so I've worked a few of those into the top 6 spots as well.
Someday I can see flying in some of the pads & upside down sequences & spaceships & scary movie sounds for various recording & soundtrack projects, but for the most part I'm looking at this as a purely practical endeavor for a little extra live mojo / juju to help keep the dance floor bumpin'.
Keep up the good work everybody - thanks again - keep safe - and keep swinging!

Just bought a C4 on Monday and I'm blown away by how cool it is! It's the synth pedal I've been searching years for!
I've only messed with pre-made community patches so far, but they've all been great and I haven't even messed with the actual software to create patches yet!

i created a new thread but was advised to seek help in other source audio threads , and this one seems to be a good place to ask ...
I love the C4 , great sound and endless possibilities
For some presets I use a clean sound going to pedalboard chain and to the amp , and the synth sound from output 2 to the PA.
However , when the pedal is bypassed , how can i mute the sound going out of output 2 ??!
